Breaking: MSNBC Sucks

NEW YORK (AP) – The aftermath of the Christmas attack on a Detroit-bound airliner was a major topic for discussion on MSNBC Monday. But its executives did not want to talk about why the network gave the story so little attention as it was breaking.
CNN devoted virtually all of its prime-time to the story Friday night. Fox News Channel mixed coverage with pre-taped Bill O’Reilly highlights. On MSNBC, an anchor cut in to interrupt such taped fare as a murder mystery and report on the teenage sex trade about once an hour.
MSNBC has been criticized in the past for failing to respond to off-hour news, most recently during turmoil following the Iranian elections. It’s an important issue for a network trying to become a go-to source for news
