Doing A Deal: “Without Michelle, Barack Obama As We Know Him Would Cease To Exist”

We have a term in Hollywood for a marriage that is done strictly for mutually beneficial career reasons, as opposed to being done for love. It is called “doing a deal”.
The Michelle Obama Examiner has been following President Barack Obama and the First Lady closely for a little over a year now. The opportunity to devote a whole column to Michelle Obama and Barack Obama is hard to pass up. The topic of this article came to us out of nowhere. We can’t put our finger on it as of yet but we think it should be noted as containing quite a bit of significance.
After attending Morehouse College its not that much of a stretch for one to become a “De Facto” expert on the inner workings of black society in the United States in general and the subtle nuances involved in interpreting the current state of affairs. One of the most famous graduates in recent history has managed to make quite a good living on his interpretation of black society on the big screen. With that in mind the Michelle Obama Examiner decided to take a look at the relationship between Barack Obama and Michelle Obama. Was it born out of love ?, was it a “marriage of convenience”?, or a magical combination of both.
To undertake this objective analysis we are going to put away the “fist bumps” and “high fives” for now and deal with what the Michelle Obama Examiner has learned in the past 10 months. We know it’s not that long a time but we’re “experts” , and besides. The right wing conservative author Michelle Malkin who we’re not particularly a fan of took less time than that to come out with her tell all book.
To begin with we want to point out that Barack Obama came up on our radar probably the same time as everyone else. That last couple months of the Democratic primary. Being totally honest. This is often the case with “phenomenas”. So we had some catching up to do in regards to our perception of what this phenomena means. We had heard his name mentioned once or twice as a possible Presidential contender but did not take that much note of it in the early going. Now that Michelle Obama and Barack Obama have been placed under our microscope for the past few months we’ve been able to develop a few inferences on the building blocks of their relationship. There public figures, they can handle it.
One inference that we’ve come up with is that without Michelle Obama; Barack Obama as we know him would cease to exist. This comes after careful examination of observable displays such as “fist bumps” in which President Obama participated in. We’ve come to the conclusion that these seemingly impromptu displays of solidarity are a little too well rehearsed. They don’t seem quite natural.
Was that part of Michelle and Barack Obama’s unspoken agreement involving their marriage? Would part of the deal be that Michelle Obama, we don’t know how to say this any other way, but would part of the deal be that the First Lady would teach Barack how to be more black? In return they would share a once in a life time experience. Is the marriage part of brand Obama ?
