Huckabee Admits He F-ed Up In Releasing Cop Killer

    I am no big fan of Huckabee but he did not release this guy. He commuted his sentence from 108 years to 47 years on the advice of the prison officials. This guy was convicted on unarmed robbery and theft charges when he was 16 yrs. old. Rapists and murderers were getting lesser sentences. The original sentencing judge supported this commutation and no one objected not the prosecuters, victims, citizens in general. He served a couple more years, made parole, then violated parole and was sent back to prison to serve the remainder of his sentence. The prosecutor who did not object to the commutation did not file the charges for the subsequent offence that sent him back to prison and he was released again. Now where did it become the fault of Huckabee who was acting on recommendations from judges, parole boards, prosecutors and such? He did not have him released he reduced his sentence. Had the prosecutor filed the charges on the offence he committed in violation of his parole he would still be in prison in Arkansas thru 2015.

    I said before there is plenty of blame to go around on this one. What this guy did in Washington to the four police officers was a death penalty offence and he got what was coming to him. But Arkansas and Washington are both to blame and now four good police officers are dead because people won’t or can’t do their jobs. So don’t put all the blame on Huckabee. I hope this sinks his presidential aspirations but I don’t put all the blame on him either.

      The bigger question I’d like to find answered is why Arkansas turned down or “waived” its right to extradite this loser, since he had warrants back in Ark.

      As for the “$15,000.00 bail,” quoted by Bill, that was the 10% needed to post on a $150K bail.

      I’m in Seattle and haven’t seen to much on any blogs so I’d just like to mention after listening to some local radio shows yesterday, that the last of the four ambushed cops hit this scumbag in the torso. The shot was described as one that would normally severely cripple an individual. And yet one of the accomplices had packed his chest with gauze and duct tape. So given the circumstances, awesome :gun: shooting by the last of the four original officers.

      As for Huck, from what I’ve seen though I don’t catch much of his show, he seems like a candidate that would match up well against Obama in a 2012 debate- before this all happened. Not that he was my top choice either.

    They need to get rid of these useless fucks by speeding up the death penalty process. It makes no sense giving some criminal fifty, sixty or a hundred years. Inmates have it made and thats bullshit!

    This shit happens all the time…..turning convicts loose by way of libtard judges, on technicalities, or over-crowding…….we just never hear about it til it involves several murders or other violent crimes. If you think Huck was the first to approve a request for clemency or commutation of sentences of hardened criminals, then you’ve been living in fantasy land too long.

    People on death row are there for a good reason and should have their sentences carried out ASAP. This simple action would alleviate over-crowded prisons practically overnight.
