    I think Ventura is a weirdo, but he does have a point regarding the erosion of our civil liberties all in the name of security. And then couple this with the PC fashion in which the real terrorists in our country are allowed to function with relative impunity.

    I dont know whether that was “Opie” or “Anthony” but he was letting his mouth right checks his ass couldnt cash with Jessie.

    I view Jessie much like I do Ron Paul, I agree with alot of things they stand for, but some of their views are just too far out for me. I wish we could all find a happy medium. My biggest fear is that a third party will emerge in 2012, and that will hand o-bow-ma back the White House.

    As a fellow Minnesotan, Jesse is an embarrassment and his political rise was due to drunk college idiots that don’t vote but voted for fun, but mostly due to the fact the media and his opponents ignored him during the campaign and debates (MN Governor in case someone didn’t know).

    He was and still is an insignificant political anomaly, and that is the only reason anyone pays attention to him. He got to run his mouth briefly on his local talk radio and failed at that. You talk about politicians being out in left or right field, Jesse isn’t even in the ballpark, he’s off in conspiracy filed corn fields beyond the ballpark. He basically wants to legalize EVERYTHING… including illegals, pot, prostitution.

    That said, his basic concern about civil and state rights being attacked and stripped is valid. It’s a concern a growing majority of Americans hold, left and right….. but he’s still a whack-job, people know that so he’ll never be a political force even if he decides to take a run at it.

    i can’t stand ventura…he is such a jackass that the valid points he does make are lost in the delusion of his conspiracy fantasies, the sound of his arrogant “i know everything because i was a navy seal” attitude and condescending sarcastic tone toward anyone who dissagrees with him reminds me of the douchiest liberals i can think of….I’m glad jimmy pissed him off enough to leave :shock:

    I hate to say this, but I agree with Ventura on the constitutional issue.

    However, I do think that the constitution is being used as a shield to protect illegal immigrants.

    People like Jesse won’t enforce border control and then complain that illegals are being rounded up unconstitutionally.

    They want it both ways.

    I say clamp down on the border and find a constitutional way to round up the illegals that are within the country.

      I should probably clarify why I agree on the constitutional issue.

      Simply put, once the authorities begin asserting a right to search anyone they please, then what rights as a citizen am I left with?

      Certainly a slippery slope to tyranny.

    The most outrageous thing about Jesse Ventura is his claim that he is a Navy Seal. My personal opinion is, he is not! I find it amazing that he has not been challenged face to face on this. Read the attached two links and come to your own conclusion.

    BTW, regarding innerstate immigration checks; it’s nothing new. Get over it. We have had it here in California (at San Onofre, 60+ miles north of International Border; and Escondido, 75+ miles north of International Border)for many, many decades. It hasn’t negatively or positively affected anyone’s civil or Constitutional liberties; nor, on the other hand, has it stopped illegal immigration I might add.
