  1. All of the Americans who want to see the U.S. WIN THIS WAR in Afghanistan aren’t happy. All of the Leftist anti-war kooks in America who want to see surrender aren’t happy. The military and its leaders aren’t happy….

hmmm….seems to me NO ONE is happy except for Barack Hussein Obama.

One man’s political agenda and narcissistic ego is once again put in higher regard than Our Country.

Leader? Not. This is a pathetic boy trying to walk around in a man’s shoes.

If the information is true that Obama has, or will, publicly broadcast a ‘timeline’, then this is a strategy for defeat that negates any need for an increase in troop strength. Further, adding additional troops, without removing the constraint of inhibitive rules of engagement is likewise a strategy for defeat. Obama has no interest is a strategy for success, only political expediency. He is an abject failure and committed traitor. If I were McCrystal, I’d be angry too, but I’d do something about it.

  3. From McChrystal: http://news.bnonews.com/xdm7

U.S. General Stanley McChrystal, Commander of the NATO-led ISAF Alliance and U.S. Forces in Afghanistan, released a statement on Tuesday in response to President Obama’s announcement. A full copy of his statement can be found below.

“The Afghanistan-Pakistan review led by the President has provided me with a clear military mission and the resources to accomplish our task. The clarity, commitment and resolve outlined in the President’s address are critical steps toward bringing security to Afghanistan and eliminating terrorist safe havens that threaten regional and global security.

“The NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) objective is equally clear: We will work toward improved security for Afghanistan and the transfer of responsibility to Afghan security forces as rapidly as conditions allow. In the meantime, our Afghan partners need the support of Coalition forces while we grow and develop the capacity of the Afghan army and police. That will be the main focus of our campaign in the months ahead.

“The 42 other nations of the Coalition will benefit from a strengthened U.S. commitment, as success in Afghanistan must be an international, integrated civil-military effort - from our security and training capacity to the governance and economic development assistance that sustains long-term stability. The concerted commitment of the international community will prevail in bringing real change to Afghanistan — a secure and stable environment that allows for effective governance, improved economic opportunity and the freedom of every Afghan to choose how they live.

“We face many challenges in Afghanistan, but our efforts are sustained by one unassailable reality: neither the Afghan people nor the international community want Afghanistan to remain a sanctuary for terror and violence. The coalition is encouraged by President Obama’s commitment and we remain resolute to empowering the Afghan people to reject the insurgency and build their own future.”

This seems to me to be a prepared statement for public release. I doubt it is congruent with McChrystal’s private military opinion. If it is, his military judgement has been compromised, although I don’t believe that is the case. I have to say, when I consider the totality of the Obama administration’s actions in regard to foreign policy, military matters and demostic issues, if I were McChrystal I would resign in protest without comment, return to the States and begin an ernest and public resistance in preservation of the republic. But, hey, thats just me, I love my country and take my oath seriously. I believe the General does too, I guess we’ll see.

I believe Obama was forced to send
extra troops to Afganistan out of
    embarassment because of the Fort
    Hood, Texas massacre.

I spent 12 month’s in that hell hole. I think I have good plan… Send the 30,000 troops along with orders to “slash and burn” all things taliban related. Do the same to the poppy and hasheesh fields, then salt the land. On the way out piss on every mosque and leave a note on the door… “If you think this is bad, piss us off again.” Pull troops out as fast as possible. Send note to Iran. Let’s get some Sherman’s march total war on their asses. If I’m not mistaken and feel free to correct me. That country hasn’t laid at the foot of a conquerer since Alexander the great.

Sounds like an excellent plan to me. Nothing like Scorched Earth to gain respect (or fear, either will work) from your enemies and friends alike. IMHO, the whole Middle East, sans Israel, should be a smoking hole filled with the bodies of the wicked and left to rot. The smell would be no worse than what I smelled in Kuwait.

Perhaps use Agent Orange on the poppy fields as well.

  6. I´m no general - I don´t know what to do or say on this point other than I believe he´s saluting and doing his job the best way he thinks he can. God bless and help him.
