These idiots believe in the First Amendment, only when it suits their own purposes. If you don’t fall in lockstep with their ideas, prepare to be shouted down and have your speech suppressed. I thought that college campuses were where intelligent, reasoned discussion was supposed to take place, not where childish behavior is rewarded.

I love Sheriff Joe like a brother, but he should have known he’d get heckled, and I think the organizers knew he’d get heckled too. My suggestion to Joe would be: in the future, don’t get sucked into a situation that you have to walk out on due to a shout-down or anything that has to do with places of “Higher Education”!!!!
And if these professors and organizers are smart, they’ll make damn sure they follow the letter of the law in his county or they may get to see Joe’s tent-city jail from the inside out and try on the pink underwear!
