Sorry for the delay, but master files for the episodes were lost due to computer error, and had to be recovered and reconstructed, painstakingly. The second “The ‘Lost’ Ramadi Episodes” episode is uploading now for debut tonight. It is called “Weekend At Horea (“Killing People, Just Another Day”)”.

    This FUCKING ROCKS!

  • Chuck

Thanks Pat. Temp copy/Final copy, it still is kick ass footage.

THIS VIDEO IS BRINGING BACK OLD MEMORIES. PEOPLE BACK HERE STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE HELL THE REAL WORLD IS LIKE.

  • Tony

THank God for our young AMERICAN heros. Thank you Marines, Army, Airforce, Navy. Good job Pat. Well worth the wait. Cant wait for the rest. By the way, I love the Misfits style face paint.

  • http://patdollard.com Pat Dollard

There are 10 more to go.

  • Evestay

Thank you for getting this up! Very engaging stuff and it makes me appreciate what our soldiers have to do on a daily basis.

Pat, I’m certain you already know this, the people/ Corporation that’s running the Showtime cable channel deserve to be fired (for numerous reasons pertaining to your project) and Showtime and it’s parent Company deserves to go belly-up and disappear forever.

They passed on THIS, what the…! Their decision had nothing to do with capitalism or the USA. Their decision was nothing more than their personal leftest/statist political preference, the company and shareholders be damned. Only God can help them and I doubt he will. ( take no offense, Littlefox  )

I’m squirming on the edge of my seat, going from daylight to night Ops, kudos to the editing.

@ the 15:00 minute mark; The Marine with the “skull” face paint, are you kidding me!! Holy *#@%!

@ the 19:00 minute mark; yeah okay, the Iraqis, can’t identify the skull faced Marine…and that’s awesome!!

@ the 19:30 mark; the Saudis may be the best liars in the world, but the Iraqis sure as hell aren’t. Even I could tell that guy was lying through his teeth.

Pat, If they’re not naming High Schools after you 20 years from now, it means America no longer exists, (yeah, it’s a Friday night, but so what).

PS – the audio’s very good. Last July I was able to swing a replacement set of desktop speakers that included a woofer. Pat, the audio of the Hummers just idling was rockin the woofer, wow.

    ‘night all.

  • ranger75

My question is, why aren’t these Marines just putting 5.56 rounds in these ragheads that act all dumb!!! Waste one of the fuckers and see who starts talking :gun: :gun: :gun: Things sure have changed since I have been down range

  • ROF

The entire episode is very well done Pat. Puts you immediately offbalance with the quick transition from one extreme, hollywood, ca, to the other, the most dangerous city in the world at the time, ramadi, iraq, and keeps you on edge by accurately capturing the emotion, the uncertainty, the frustration, and the dread of the moment. The part where your moving through an alley,in the middle of the most dangerous city on earth, in the middle of the night, with only intermittent street lamps providing light, felt like a nightmare, where the shadows hid some unknown danger. it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I also liked the part where one of the Marines yells, “Hey cameraman, get down!” I cant wait to see the rest man, thanks for all your hard work Pat, it was very well worth the wait.

They didn’t pass. I walked away from a million dollars and a differently cut project about…something other than what I wanted it to be about.

  • killczar

the marines and you pat, have all my love and thanks for protecting my way of life back here on the safe streets of cape cod. this film makes me feel as though i should have been involved when i was a young american. know i can only feel shame that i had no sense of direction. thank you for the great things you are doing to show what heroes our great nation provides the world with. god bless all of you. mark gibbons

    Good to go.
    nice choice in music.

there was a couple times I couldn’t make out the guys dialog because of the music.

another thing, you caught it a couple times where the place will get silent… noise your used to but silent…not so much

I really look forword to the next vids.

  • RexRedbone

Well worth waiting for Thanks to the Marines for letting us see thru your lens the job they have to do!Pat your calling of the camera to capture the real story Great Stuff

  • http://patdollard.com Pat Dollard

If you couldn’t make out the dialogue because of the music, it’s because the dialogue wasn’t meant to be made out there, it was all about the music.

  • Tom in CO

    Sweet, thank you Pat!

  • http://www.sillteam.com Tom

Thanks Pat. I can’t say thanks enough for the armed forces that are protecting my family from 1000′s of miles away. The job that these men and women are doing is unbelievable… To see these guys breaking into wired houses with little more than a flashlight and a sledgehammer is just over the top. Smoke em’ if you got em’ boys!

  • Tyler520

    Awesome job

Is there an anticipated schedule for the release of the rest of the episodes?

  • ji

    Hey Pat,
I’ve been coming to this site for nearly three years. My Dad introduced “Young Americans” to me the day I got back from Iraq in early 2007. I’m in Iraq now, and I am so happy that my parents get to see what there youngest son does. Thanks bro, for all of this.
    Semper Fi!!!
Frates Aeterni-Brothers Eternal. You a great friend of Marines, and we all consider you to be our brother over here.

Thank you for “finding” this film Pat. My son lost a Brother and dear friend in Ramadi, Iraq on December 11, 2003. His name was SPC Marshall L. Edgerton, 82nd Signal Battalion, 82nd Airborne. His camp was attacked with an IED. Website link is

http://www.militarycity.com/valor/256984.html. Post a comment if you will. Let them family know we will never forget our Warriors.

They called him “Edge” and from what I hear, He was one Great Man and One Great Warrior and losing him was a great loss for my Son and all his Brothers.

Patrick Dollard, you are a gutsy Warrior and thank you for going over to Ramadi to tell our Warrior’s story. This film in itself shows the danger our military is in, and it shows what Warriors they are. God Bless Them and Please God Help Them All.

    God Bless You Too Pat!

Who’s the hot dude in the picture?

  • Jeanet

    Dear Pat,

Last year around this time I wasn’t sure I’d made it long enough to see Young Americans. I was angry at myself, the whole world and you too as we were alle waiting and waiting for the documentary and I felt as my time was running out.

But no one would or could have been more frustrated than you dear friend, so, I appologize from the botom of my heart. This must have cut your live 5 years shorter but he**, we’re beyond that now as we both and so many others are still here to witness all the footage.

Thank God, finally the truth, the REAL TRUTH about Iraque is comming out into the open.

My thoughts are with those brave warriors that are not amoungst us anymore to witness this.

Hell is a dark place but it seems we both are such bastards we get spit out time and again

Don’t know how or when, but we’ll meet again, just looking at eachother with a grin from ear to ear and asking ourselves (again?);”If this is hell all we can do is come backwards from it, spit blood, RTB, have some chow and shut-eye and……do it all over again”.

    Love you bro’.

    Jeanet.

Outstanding Pat !!! So good to see you finally able to get this going….i know it’s been a long time coming.

Most of us here have either been in that shithole or know someone close that has. Great to see firsthand what they’ve experienced and done to preserve our freedom. Looking forward to the rest of this series.

I noticed you got out of breath a few times…rough keeping up with these young bucks ain’t it, but you did good my man….you did good.

Beverly, god bless you and I’m sorry for the loss of your nephew. RIP Marshall. I saw his picture. What a handsome young man.

I’m part of the Patriot Guard Riders. I’m sure you know who they are. It’s quite sad that we have to have patriots at a funeral procession to prevent the Code Pink and Westboro Baptist church scum from coming around and harrassing the families at their darkest hour.

This documentary of Pat’s is excellent. I can’t wait to see the remaining videos.

I in my own little way help our soldiers. I’ve kinda adopted 2 families. It’s despicable how Chairman Zero’s administration treats our military.

One female marine is having a baby in January. A group of us Asamom members are going to help her with diapers, formula and baby clothes. She has nothing. When she told me her pay, I was appalled. An illegal alien janitor makes more.

The other family has 2 kids. A network of us are helping them as well.

I want our boys to know we’re behind them. Even if it’s only a little bit, we’re doing what we can.

Glad to see your efforts are coming to fruition and that the realities of what our men faced and have achieved in Iraq will be seen far and wide. Despite the efforts of our enemies in the US news media, Hollywood, and other backwards terrorist cells. Oorah, huzzah, and good on you, Mr. Dollard.

Yes Ramadi was “the hell hole of Iraq at that time. I’m so sorry for your loss. My son was killed 8-2-06 in Ramadi. He was the first Navy SEAL that was killed in Iraq. Did your son ever work with the SEAL’s? I went to Ramadi in Dec 07 and got to visit Camp Marc Lee named in memory of mys son. God bless the sacrifice our sons made. We will never forget.
