8 Year Old Boy Scout On Terrorist Watch List

CLIFTON, N.J. (AP) – Travel is a hassle for an 8-year-old Cub Scout from New Jersey.

That’s because Mikey Hicks shares the same name of a person who has drawn the suspicion of the Homeland Security Department.

His mother tells The New York Times she sensed trouble when her son was a baby and she couldn’t get a seat for him at a Florida airport. She says airline officials explained his name “was on the list.”

He was patted down as a 2-years-old at Newark Liberty International Airport, and continues to face extra scrutiny from security every time he flies.

The newspaper says the boy’s name appears to be among 13,500 on the “selectee” list, which sets off a high level of security screening.

Transportation Security Administration spokesman James Fotenos says in the coming months, the agency will cross-check names with birth dates and gender.

      But look at them beady little eyes anyone would consider him a threat to the USA. He’s white, wearing a suit, blonde hair, you can see he is obviously of german decent. It’s a given being a cub scout he’s packing a pocket knife. He most likely will be a future skinhead. Best to get his record started now so we can lock him up early before he hurts someone or gets a taste of freedom!

    The problem is that he is white, blond and a boy scout….this is considered a terrorist to Obamanites and the Black Panthers…. How dare to have such a young white growing up as an upstanding citizen that may not need help from the “Govment”…This is probably an Obama Minority Report-Style program to start rounding up whites……..

      Ditto, same here….but they may also confiscate our bank accounts, the IRS has a drive to recruit Obama Brigades (you know “Job Creation”) to exact every penny possible that should be “transfered” to those of certain “Dialect”…. I’m telling you, just relying on voting in elections may not work down the line in this new America. Cuba and Venezuela have “free” elections and so does Iran and look how’s that turning out….so be ready to unload lead and whatever else you got, that’s my plan, I just wish there were about 1 million of us doing just that at the same time with tactical and strategic support with military consent….

    I was on the TSA watch list back in 2002. We sent in the proper ID and followed the rules to get my name taken off right away. I stopped getting pulled over/waiting for them to check my IDs at the check-in counters around 2004. I finally got a response from TSA with a card that I could flash to get out of this hassle in 2009. Your government at work!
