    That was a stupid thing for Brown to say. He’s running a very tight race and to smugly suggest that the president is an illegitimate child only makes him look bitter, intolerant and turns away any undecided voters.

    Stupid remarks like that can spell a Dem victory.

    Let him call Obama a bastard AFTER he wins.

    That was in the fall of 2008 – over a year ago, and more of an aside. It’s not like he went out of his way to make an allegation yesterday. Plus there was even less really known about Obama then than there is now. Michelle herself made this statement back in June of 2008:

    Sorry guys-just a little paranoid for Brown.The lead he has established is so fragile given the obama stranglehold on the press.I was thinking they could have run with this no matter how irrelevant.Mabey the kool-aid buzz is wearing off..we’ll see.
