World Net Daily:

A male health-care worker who appears to be Ellie Light – the letter writer whose name appeared in dozens of newspapers nationwide praising President Obama – also is a diarist for the far-left Daily Kos website and an online friend of an individual tied to a radical pro-Obama group associated with William Ayers’ Weathermen terrorist organization.

Winston Steward, 51, of Frazier Park, Calif., told the Cleveland Plain-Dealer he made up the name “Ellie Light” to protect himself from criticism and possible physical attacks from “conservatives.” He said he used fake addresses across the country to get local newspapers to publish his letters.

Steward was one of several individuals who claimed to be Light. The Plain-Dealer, which published some of Light’s letters, reported Steward’s e-mail address matched the address of Light messages sent to U.S. newspapers. The Plain-Dealer also said that to track Steward, it used phone interviews and public records, including those of marriages, property and professional licenses in California and Texas.

Steward is signed up as a diarist at the Daily Kos, where he has written about such topics as pressuring Republican senators to work with Democrats as well as humanitarian aid for the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip.

Steward also is registered as a “social member” of the Huffington Post.

WND has learned that on his Facebook page, Steward lists as a friend California resident Jerry Schaefer. Steward also follows Schaefer on Twitter.

On his own Facebook page, Schaefer declares he is a fan of Progressives for Obama, an independent organization that mobilizes support for Obama initiatives.

WND previously reported Progressives for Obama includes among its ranks many former members of the 1960s radical organization Students for a Democratic Society, from which the Weathermen terrorist group splintered, as well as current and former members of other radical organizations, such as the Communist Party USA and the Black Radical Congress.

Among the signatories and endorsers of Progressives for Obama is Mark Rudd, one of the main founders of the Weathermen terrorist organization. Rudd worked closely for years with Ayers, whose association with Obama has generated controversy for the president.

The Progressives was founded by four individuals with ties to extremist groups:

* Tom Hayden, a former state senator who was a founder and principal organizer of the SDS. Discover the Networks notes Hayden, previously married to actress Jane Fonda, traveled many times to North Vietnam, Czechoslovakia and Paris to strategize with communist North Vietnamese and Viet Cong leaders on how to defeat America’s anti-communist efforts.

* Bill Fletcher, a former Maoist and current leader of Democratic Socialists of America or DSA. The New Zeal blog notes Fletcher was also a founder of the Black Radical Congress, closely linked to the Communist Party USA, which advocated for “progressive social justice, racial equality and economic justice goals within the U.S.

* Barbara Ehenreich, an honorary chairman of DSA who was formerly active in anti-war movements in which notorious radicals took part.

* Actor Danny Glover, a member of the Black Students Union, who has visited Venezuela, making guest appearances on President Hugo Chavez’s television and radio talk show. He reportedly has accepted loans of about $20 million from the Venezuelan government to make a movie about a Haitian revolutionary leader.

The Progressives for Obama webmaster is Carl Davidson, a former vice president of the Students for a Democratic Society, who has traveled to Cuba to meet with Fidel Castro.

Davidson also is a founder of the socialist New Party. WND reported on evidence indicating Obama was a New Party member. In an interview with WND, Davidson previously recounted Obama’s participation with the New Party.

Meanwhile, Schaefer also lists on his Facebook page he is a fan of CREDO Mobile, a company that states on its website it is “dedicated to changing the world through progressive philanthropy.” CREDO president and co-founder Michael Kieschnick is one of three co-founders of the Secretary of State Project, which seeks to get Democrats elected to office and which works alongside the controversial Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN.

Steward is one of several individuals who claimed to be Ellie Light. Earlier, a woman in Texas named Barbara Brooks claimed she was Ellie Light. Brooks later claimed she is married to Steward, who lives in their other home in California. Steward claimed he is not married to Brooks.

“He’s making up all kinds of garbage,” Brooks retorted. “We’re not divorced. We’re not separated. He just doesn’t want anybody to trace him because he’s afraid of the right-wing crazies up in Bakersfield.”

So we have a “ghost writer” involved in national propaganda bullshit, lying about himself and his true objectives, and we hear no sort of outrage from the MSM. They are supposed to be “America’s Watchdog”, keeping the people in touch with the truth. SUURE they are. If we had a Republican fan who did this, there’s be hell to pay. We would hear about this, over and over, ad nauseum, for years. When will the country have the balls to stand up and say what we are all thinking? “No More Propaganda” “No More Pravda” “No More Lies” “No More Communist Bullshit”!!!!
This Country is the last best stand for Freedom that the world has. Without us, where can anyone who wants freedom go to? If we don’t stand up and keep our Country (God Love Thee) safe from the claws of Socialism, the world is truly lost.

  • Professor Bill

Wow!!!!! That was a big surprise, I never would have guessed that. What an idiot. He was so damn lazy from smoking so much dope he couldn’t even change the damn letter or name!

  • Nanny

The wording of the letters seemed to indicate a professional person not the everyday person who would write a letter to the editor. Sounded fishy right from the get go.

I slightly more than gave a shit from jump street but when this story first broke the caption photo was a hot blonde. Got my attention for a second until they mentioned the letters where coming from all of the country. In the end scum-leftist tactics were exposed.

    GO COLTS!!! in 2010

    • mike3481

I don’t believe the Colts will have much of a problem with the Saints.

The Vikings gave them 5 turnovers and they still needed overtime to pull it out. Oh, and if Farve ran up-field instead of throwing that last interception I’d be talking about the Vikings and not the Aints.

Sunday evening I was thinking that every AFC team in the playoffs would have beaten any of the NFC teams in the playoffs.

      Anyways…

      Saints – 10
      Colts – 52

  • Tom in CO

Wouldn’t surprise me if this were true.
