You cannot fight a war under these precepts. You cannot litigate every fucking casualty generated in the process of prosecuting a war. Wars are fought to overcome and subjugate, or to preserve and promote, a national standard. The American military is actively in the process of preserving and promoting our national standard. Every effort should be afforded the service men and women who are putting their very lives between us, as American citizenry, and those who would take from us that which we have taken so much for granted…our freedom, and our American way of life. This story breaks my heart. I've alerted all my friends about this story. I also sent Michael a letter to Ft. Leavenworth. His mom encouraged the audience to do so, to lift his spirits.
