WASHINGTON (AP) – The Obama administration has been stronger than the Bush administration in fighting terrorism, Vice President Biden said Sunday, suggesting former Vice President Dick Cheney, one of President Obama’s chief critics, is either “misinformed or misinforming.”

In an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Biden said he thinks Cheney doesn’t listen to the facts and is trying to rewrite history.

“I don’t think the former vice president, Dick Cheney, listens. The president of the United States said in the State of the Union we’re at war with Al Qaeda,” Biden said.

Biden said the Obama administration has eliminated 12 of the top 20 Al Qaeda leaders, has “taken out 100 of their associates, we have sent them underground … they are on the run.”

Calling Cheney “factually, substantively wrong,” Biden said it’s simply not true that the president is not prosecuting the war in Al Qaeda with a vigor never before seen.

“I don’t know where Dick Cheney has been. Look, it’s one thing again to criticize. It’s another thing to sort of rewrite history. What is he talking about?” Biden said.

Cheney said that the Obama administration is failing to treat the battle against terrorism as war. He told ABC’s “This Week” that he is glad for what the administration is doing in Afghanistan but he disagrees with those in the Obama Cabinet who “still insist on thinking of terrorist attacks on the United States as criminal acts rather than acts of war, that’s a huge distinction.”

Cheney said he also disapproved of President Obama’s initial response to the actions by Christmas bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.

“It was closer to being an act of war than an act of an isolated criminal,” Cheney said. “What the administration was slow to do was to come to the realization that this is an act of war.”

But Biden said Cheney’s criticism rings false. He added that two of three detainees tried in military courts were set free under the Bush administration, while more than 300 tried in federal courts are now in prison.

“He is not entitled to his own facts,” Biden said.

White House National Security Adviser Jim Jones refused to get into it over Cheney’s criticism, telling CNN that national security isn’t a partisan issue. He added that it depends on what information Cheney has.

“If it’s informed, that’s one thing,” he said.

As for the war in Iraq, Biden said it hasn’t been worth its “horrible price.”

He said the war was mishandled from the outset and that the U.S. took its eye off the ball. As a result, the U.S. was left in a more dangerous position in Afghanistan, where Al Qaeda hatched the Sept 11 attacks, he said.

The war also has cost the United States support from other nations, he said, but he predicted Iraq will have successful parliamentary elections next month and the U.S. is likely to bring home some 90,000 combat troops by the end of the summer.

More than 4,370 U.S. military personnel have died in Iraq since former President George W. Bush ordered the U.S.-led invasion in 2003 to overthrow Saddam Hussein. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have been wounded or killed.

But Cheney said, “I believe very deeply in the proposition that what we did in Iraq was the right thing to do . It ws hard to do, it took a long time to do.

“We’re going to have a democracy in Iraq. We do today … This is has been an enormous achievement for peace and stability in the Middle East and security for the United States. Joe Biden doesn’t believe that,” Cheney said.

Cheney said that if the Obama administration now wants to take credit for the success of Iraq, after opposing the surge, campaigning against it during the 2008 presidential race and finishing up a timetable set forth during the Bush administration, then “it ought to go with a healthy dose of ‘Thank You, George Bush’ up front.”

“He is not entitled to his own facts.”

The Progs sure like saying that.
It’s a quote from one of their fave Progressives, Bernard Baruch, advisor to both Woody Wilson and FDR.
And Current Truth….that’s the exclusive domain of the Naked Emperor.

Here’s another Baruchism for ya Joe…
“Never answer a critic, unless he’s right.”

    Ijjit.

“…the Obama administration has eliminated 12 of the top 20 Al Qaeda leaders…”

Wrong. You’ve eliminated 12 – 2nd, 3rd & 4th level A.Q. people who’ve risen to leadership positions cos the top 100 were wiped-out by the Bush administration before the Obama clowns took office.

It’s not unlike Joe Biden. He’s been trying to take credit for other peoples work his entire adult life. From his college plagiarism to his impersonation of a British Labor Party leader…Neil Kinnock, and now his impersonation of a Vice President

Plugs-Biden is full of shit and well fed…
Crawl back in that jug of whiskey Joey, nobody gives a rats ass what you have to say.

Joe Biden hasn’t had a coherent thought in decades  His arguments look like schoolyard trash talk compared to Cheney – he is not even in the same class of human being as Cheney. Biden needs to be removed as fast as his boss, if not faster  :???:

A retort from Biden on “Meet the fawning Ball Lickers” while he was getting a rub and tug at the Swedish Touch in Vancouver over the weekend. No wonder he was able to put a sentence together. A tug and six big belts of Canadian Club almost makes this limp dick loquacious, don’t it? Unfortunately, it’s still puke-in-the-mouth rehash of the same old, same old – blame, lie, plagarize, lie some more, rant, rave, lie still more, impersonate, blame, lie again, and if all else fails, lie some more. Instead of feeding this tired old dickhead his tri-hourly shots and the occasional taxpayer-funded hand job, you’d think some Commy hack would just tell him to “shut the fuck up and just drink, you asshole!! We do not need both USA “figure heads” fucking up on an hourly basis.” But, no, they keep ramming they selves into the proverbial meat grinder – testicles first. This is far more compelling than the Olympics because we know how this will end. Keep flapping those gums, Biden – there’s still plenty of room for more laughter from the Right and embarrassment from you Toad-faced pricks. When the real citizens of the USA take back their Country, you’ll be able to replay every fuck up in your tiny little cell on Gitmo – until you die!!

The perfect foil for Obama and why he was chosen. This makes O the straight-man in their comedy routine. And, I have no doubt to make that Negro seem so much smarter by comparison with a pasty-white guy.

Joe Biden has conveniently-yet again-ignored and chosen not to include facts of war that led up to 9/11. This does not include highly classified intelligence information he sees, is briefed on or has ready access to study whenever he desires. He apparently has chosen to lie and be political. This to me is an insult and provides aid and comfort directly to the enemy and has done so repeatedly since Obama and Biden have been in office.

Biden thinks another 9/11 is unlikely despite the fact that the number of incidents INSIDE the U. S. has mushroomed since Obama has been in office. Despite the global tenor of this threat has mushroomed because they know there’s no resolve in Washington and we are busy slitting the throats of our operators. There are two former CIA Case Officers who have repeatedly warned and opined on this administration’s campaign to undermine national security in their blogs and syndicated articles and speeches. This is a global war and we have nothing resembling the unity of the last global conflict we fought. This is because we have been heavily penetrated by enemy sympathizers and ideologically programmed elected officials whose desire is to please and negotiate with snakes and eat the apples because it’s so kewl.

Let’s add to that the factual up scope of the optempo of the worldwide tactical threat Islamic fundamentalist war time engagement-one this administration exacerbated by deliberate grave damages to national security and then delaying reinforcement and screwing up in their exit shit from Iraq.

Let’s add to that the increased gloves-off approach which has encouraged the threat from the communist nations and other threats all over the globe because our international affairs folks are the Clintonian era gourmet elite whose product is like union protected leftist government employees. They look good, speak well, but where’s the work product?

All of the foregoing, which I stated ever so briefly shored up from below and behind by a guy who has the legal angles compromised and covered, a foundation of an Attorney General whose very presence has exacerbated an encouraged enemy and has tacitly permitted some constructive espionage from the White House.

Most notably Miranda Rights for foreign nationals on foreign soil who have been captured in combat against us. This, whilst sandwiching the enemy in a protective blanket of acknowledging that highly classified advanced interrogation techniques existed but then aiding and abetting and encouraging enemy operations in war by providing the supporting documentation substantiating the compromise, none of which was heavily redacted enough for me.

Let’s add to that the land breaking hiring of a not only a UN Ambassador but a Sec State who have almost no resume of education, experience or training. Conflict and threats to this country are gaining strength all across the globe because of this.

None of what Joe Biden says here-or elsewhere makes any sense whatsoever. Very conciliatory and obfuscating over and over and over again. Dick Cheney is not looking for another term, he isn’t looking to impress anyone or get another job. His words are factual, absolute and filled with righteous indignation for lies that I also have heard for 12 months. He has balls. Joe does not.

What of all this does the American public willing choose to not see??????

There will be another 9/11 scale operation, because this administration refuses to do what is required and get blood on their hands or piss off the world powers that deserve to be pissed off. They are more concerned with their next term and their leftist philosophy than “…lives, fortunes and sacred honor…”

We are here today because of the bullcrap we were forced to accept during the 1990s. We are repeating the 1990s all over again.

We’ve been screwed in just 12 months.

Joe Biden’s explanation of Cheney’s revulsion shows Cheney to be quite factually correct.
