    Power corrupts. Anyone who so much as has to deal with the establishment is corrupted by it. Republicans are even so reluctant to reform the system because they benefit from it too. They don’t want to shrink the size of government for the same damn reasons that the Democrats don’t want to.

    It would take someone of an iron will and scruples to resist the seductive call of power and fabulous wealth. Few who willingly enter politics have either. Reform can, thus, never happen from within. It must happen from without. It must happen from among the people restoring to themselves the rights they once had as free people of a democratic republic.
