“Glass Everywhere”: “An Alarming Context”

Kansas.com:

Authorities in Wichita and some other cities across the country are investigating vandalism against Democratic offices, apparently in response to health care reform.

And on Monday, a former Alabama militia leader took credit for instigating the actions.

Mike Vanderboegh, of Pinson, Ala., former head of the Alabama Constitutional Militia, put out a call on Friday for modern “Sons of Liberty” to break the windows of Democratic Party offices nationwide in opposition to health care reform. Since then, vandals have struck several offices, including the Sedgwick County Democratic Party headquarters in Wichita.

“There’s glass everywhere,” said Lyndsay Stauble, executive director of the Sedgwick County Democratic Party. “A brick took out the whole floor-to-ceiling window and put a gouge in my desk.”

Stauble said the brick, hurled through the window between Friday night and Saturday morning, had “some anti-Obama rhetoric” written on it.

Vandals also smashed the front door and a window at Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ office in Tucson early Monday, hours after the Arizona Democrat voted for the health care reform package.

Over the weekend, a brick shattered glass doors at the Monroe County Democratic Committee headquarters in Rochester, N.Y. Attached to the brick was a note that said, “Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice” — a quote from Barry Goldwater’s 1964 acceptance speech as the Republican presidential candidate.

And on Friday, a brick broke a window at Rep. Louise Slaughter’s district office in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Slaughter, a Democrat, was a vocal supporter of the health care reform bill passed by the House on Sunday.

Tyler Longpine, spokesman for the Kansas Democratic Party, called the incidents troubling.

“It’s kind of an alarming context,” he said. “We haven’t had any trouble here, but we’re fortunate enough to be on the seventh floor of an office building in Topeka.” However, he added, “Most of our county offices are storefronts, which are a little bit more vulnerable to that kind of intimidation.”

Vanderboegh posted the call for action Friday on his blog, “Sipsey Street Irregulars.” Referring to the health care reform bill as “Nancy Pelosi’s Intolerable Act,” he told followers to send a message to Democrats.

“We can break their windows,” he said. “Break them NOW. And if we do a proper job, if we break the windows of hundreds, thousands, of Democrat party headquarters across this country, we might just wake up enough of them to make defending ourselves at the muzzle of a rifle unnecessary.”

Vanderboegh said the action was meant to “get everyone’s attention.”

“What I was trying to get across was that people do not understand how on the edge of civil conflict this country is,” he said.

Those who monitor right-wing extremist groups said they weren’t surprised to hear of the vandalism.

“Passage of health care reform will elicit a variety of responses from its opponents,” said Leonard Zeskind, author of the 2009 book, “Blood and Politics.”

“We can expect militia types like Vanderboegh to become even more far-fetched and violent.”
Buzz up!

    On one hand….Sweet!

On the other hand, we’ll be hearing about the right-wing radicals 24/7 now on the MSM.

    • YERMOM

they would be saying it anyway.

    • Ringo69er

True. But keep in mind the extreme bias of the media….breaking glass is extremism, but SEIU and Blank Panther thuggery is acceptable.

The world has been turned upside down, what is right is wrong and what is wrong is acceptable.

We all have a choice, follow the accepted peaceful sitting on my nuts path of November Elections and risk losing everything in the 7 months preceding the elections. Or choose the path of civil disobedience.

Sitting the bench or playing ball, you can lose either way but at least in playing ball you can say I didn’t sit and watch….I tried.

One things for sure, you have a better chance of winning if you play the game.

      Decisions, decisions.

When they have no story, they make it up out of thin air and pin it on the TEA party anyway. Case in point: The Congress critter complaining that the protesters were “Chanting” N*gger and spitting on him. Bull-Fucking-Shit. No less than three different videos, up close and personal, showed nothing of the sort, but even FOX News ran with the story and pounded the line that “Racist” and “Inflammatory Rhetoric” came from the protesters. The point is, for almost a year now, the entire media (including Fox News) has called us Tea-bagging Racist Radical Redneck terrorists and even the DHS had classified memos calling us “Patriot Domestic Terrorist groups”. At this point, I don’t give a fuck what happens to the property of the Democratic Socialist Party.

Kristallnacht! And so it begins. Gonna get worse before it gets better. A helluva lot worse.

    Did anyone get hurt? No…

Did anyone get the message? Yes. Did it get media attention? Yes. Does it exemplify how a small group of determined men can force major change/attention to the larger majority? Hell yes.

And from what I hear, glass replacement wouldn’t be a bad business to be in right now.

When the left does it, it’s patriotism. When the right does it, it’s terrorism. To bad someone didn’t drive their car through a window…..You can blame it on Toyota…. :gun:

Bingo! Sentinel. You can make a statment and a law suit at the same time. I got to get me a Toyota!

They bitch about this, yet don’t even bother to report when Lefties shoot up the homes of conservative commentators, bomb military recruiting offices, set fire to dissenting voters’ cars, and beat up the elderly.

Checking his IP, I discovered that “Mohammedsuckshogcock” was acutally a notorious homosexual supremacist troll using that name, and providing a fake email ending “@atheist”, so I deleted his comment.

    • http://! The Sentinel at the Gate

Good – these Marxist cretins are out trolling all over the net right now, just trying to instigate shit. They will be taken care of soon enough.

    • http://HBCIndy.com Dr. Jerry

Good Pat – that guy is a puke!

  • http://! The Sentinel at the Gate

I say GOOD! They have not been listening throughout the rise of the Tea Parties and grassroots America. They did not listen to the public when all the polls confirmed the majority of America did not want this Socialist crap. Bottom line here – they did not listen to us and now they must pay the price. As long as we have a Constitution in this country that has language in it that specifically authorizes actions against a repressive government, they have no GD leg to stand on, PERIOD! Our founding fathers were way more intelligent than the present day cretins by placing that language, in clear text, for all to see.

And as a warning to one and all, this is just the next step. Patriots are now speaking for all to hear with these actions and while you may not agree, the fact is this – they have raised the stakes at the American Freedom Hold-Em table, so we must either fold or raise. And given the concrete proof they will not listen – it’s time to raise.

I think this graphic really tells how I feel.

Yep, exactly what is happening in Amerika (sic). Yesterday I pulled your jpeg of “Congressmen at Work” sign and passed it around our “Right Wing Nut Job” office, It got rave reviews. Very nice work.

    • VW2027

Good one, I just printed it out and put it on our billboard at work.

That ain’t how I feel. The wrong image is pointing the gun.

Kistalnacht was the decimation of Jewish businesses in Germany. It was an outward show of hatred for the Jewish population and eventually lead to the holocaust. One should keep in mind that Hussein wants and needs civil unrest to fulfill his dream of becoming dictator. For Hussein civil unrest equals War Powers Act, which is essentially a de facto dictatorial powers. The left wing liberals will not tolerate civil disobedience along the lines of the civil rights movement. Only the communists and fascists (redundant) have the right to rape and pillage.

I would rather fight now and risk everything than roll over and take it in the ass.

Doing nothing will solve nothing, voting will solve nothing (we know this from nearly 100 years of history).

If you want to keep your country and weed them out you’re going to have to stop plucking at the leafs and break out the roundup and kill it to it’s roots.

    • http://hyperinflation-watch.blogspot.com ZenDraken

We have a Constitution, we have Oath Keepers, we have an armed population, and we have a President and a ruling elite that is completely clueless about the effective use of armed force and about history in general. And we completely surround and outnumber them.

It may get ugly, but the thugs will crumble quickly.

  • Tom in CO

Hmmmm. Didn’t anti-war protesters do this to the Marine recruiting office in Berkeley?

    • vox populi

      Bingo!…and what came of that?…

It’s like orwells animal farm now…

save the bricks, vote the anti-constitutionalists out starting this nov… 10th amendment muscle flexing starting , Constitutional law challenges…it’s just getting wound up. Hold on, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride this year

Liberals are afraid of Muslims because of what they do, not what they say.
Conservatives better do something, because liberals dont care what they say. See new health care.

  • Lock and Load

PETA zealots burn down a Hummer dealership in California, but throwing a brick through a window is “far-fetched and violent”… more liberal hypocrisy on parade. They haven’t seen anything yet
