I am not from California, but I have seen her speak in New York (which is where she grew up). She is a Romney-type: quite capable and successful in business and thus possessing good conservative instincts concerning economic and fiscal issues. On social issues, however, calling her a moderate may be too generous. What she thinks about foreign policy and national security issues, I could not tell you. Does she have the iron will of a Maggie Thatcher to bring order to California to get California’s fiscal house in order? Don’t know.
