Almost all of our current ills are due to Progressives and corruption over the last few decades. While people like Beck and Savage have tried to highlight accurate history and the risks posed by current circumstances, few have broken the problem down in a readable summary, let alone offered inexpensive ways for you to influence the outcome. I hope this helps.
The Issues
The main problem is Progressives/liberals. Who are they? Current progressives – based on an old word for socialists with connotations of membership primarily aligned with the Communist Party and the Socialist Worker’s Party in the 20’s and 30’s – the most hateful and intolerant liberals, reincarnated into the 21st century along with government union allies. Through Obama, they have been put in charge of our government, but have been there in small numbers for some time.
Progressives are liberals spending more than we take in – not just the Dem’s but progressive Republicans like Bush and Rove who laughed at conservative Republicans behind their back. The Bush’s have always been progressives. Bush Sr. could not get elected in Texas as a rep in the ‘70’s because of it. His association with Reagan got him the White House after Reagan, which he quickly blew.
The results of having so many progressives in government for such a long time:
More government, more government employees with average annual compensation packages of $71k vs $41k for the public – a devastating situation in terms of cost and representation.
An unsustainable level of debt.
A willingness to bypass the Constitution, the bedrock and foundation for our laws with a disdain for the amendment process – the only legitimate way to change it and enable laws that are, prior to those changes unconstitutional.
A government trying to be everything to everyone, by taxing and regulating
50% of our people do not have a stake in the system as they pay no taxes. They need to have some skin in the game or they will always vote to take from others and give to themselves.
A mainstream press that has abandoned the noble role of keeping all governments honest to becoming co-conspiratorial liberals that distorted the public perception of non-liberals and mislead the public about the current slate of liberal officeholders. These people were helped by progressives on the right who wanted to be popular and mimicked the left. Think John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and others.
Assault on American culture, history, and values to divide the populace and take control of the government away from Americans which allows progressives to distort history to teach the lessons they want taught for their form of government and assault on our freedoms– There is a lot of money and power involved and a lot of people who think they deserve entitlements and funding across the spectrum of people that can be controlled and influenced through the same.
Willingness to stab America in the heart with a huge debt and tax increase in a period they call the most economically distressed time the nation has faced since the Great Depression in order to make their political goals.
A de facto brownshirt organization in the amalgamated form of the SEIU and Acorn supporters and workers that has been going around assaulting and intimidating people at elections and town hall meetings.
It is clear that these progressives are enemies of America and will do great damage to her for the sake of their political beliefs. This is no less than treason.
How You can Help – Some Relatively Easy Steps
We do not all have thousands or millions of dollars to give, nor do we have weeks of time to volunteer for long periods at a time because most of us work and pay taxes. However, there are things that you can do to influence our country’s direction that do not take a lot of time or money and are very effective. Ten dollars here, 15 minutes there – do that a few times following the list below and you can have as much influence as a guy who can donate several thousand dollars and a couple of weeks worth of time:
Get everyone you know to call your US reps and senators, both Dems and Repubs to stop the Health Care Bill Spending and publicize where the remaining stimulus money is being spent (elections are coming up. Obama is following the FDR game plan to a ‘T’. Expect him to openly violate the election codes and fund highly partisan organizations to support the Socialists and his supporters). Let them know you are watching them and will throw them out if they do not oppose all of the nonsense Obama, Hill, and Reid are going to spew between now and 2012.
Write or call them again, expressing your outrage that half of the population does not pay any taxes and has no stake in the overall financial or moral health of our nation, yet is allowed to vote. Tell them you expect them to either tax the bottom nominally (3%) and tie their increases to those of the middle and upper end, or completely disenfranchise this group. There was a reason the founding fathers originally tied the privilege of voting to property owners – property owners have a stake in financial and civil stability – two fundamental requirements for a country to prosper – which is the government’s basis for protecting property. When the government stops protecting private property rights, it is similar to throwing out the Constitution – We no longer would have a foundation for our laws, which would then be capricious and subject to the whims of the current lawmakers – tyranny of a different sort – like today.
Get everyone you know to vote for conservative candidates, whether they are Tea Party folks, true conservative Republicans, or conservative independents. Just remember, you cannot be a social liberal and a fiscal conservative since you have to spend to be a social liberal.
Participate in the Educational process – a lot of important history is not being taught or being deleted from text books from the elementary level on up by progressives on boards that approve text books. Expose these people and look at standards like “A Patriot’s History of the United States” , William Bennett’s “America, the Last Best Hope” – although there are a lot of facts about the civil war left out of the latter – very post war Yankee oriented. Otherwise, it is a decent read. This is most important in Texas and California where most textbooks accepted become the textbooks for the country overall.
Fund organizations that fight the ACLU on religious freedom. There is a legitimate argument that humanism and secularism are religious belief systems and that legal trends are favoring those at the expense of the culture, that the system and the Constitution are being bypassed and precedents set by activist judges are being used to assault the majority culture and what is left of it’s cohesion for political progressive purposes.
Fund legal organizations that are planning to appeal the Constitutionality of some of these activist precedents and overturn them.
Abandon the mainstream news carriers in television and newspapers – they carry the water of the progressives. I find the progressive journalistic approach to be so lacking in honesty and integrity, I could justify prosecution in the criminal and civil courts. Better to berate and laugh at these traitors publicly and continue to reduce the revenues of the companies that support them. Who are they primarily? Anyone associated with Gannet, ABC, NBC, CBS, Time magazine, Newsweek magazine, the Houston Chronicle, the New York Times, etc. You have the ability to drive these companies out of business. It is up to you to put them in the position where they have to decide whether they want to stay in business or go down fighting for socialism.
Anytime you see an SEIU member or ACORN supporter, verbally humiliate them for their fascistic role as Obama’s Brown Shirts. Be prepared to defend yourself, as their violent tendencies have been shown on YouTube at different town hall meetings and events.
Let organizations like the NAACP know that they make themselves repugnant and even more irrelavent by endorsing Communist Black Racists like Vann Jones. Discourage everyone you know from giving to the NAACP and divert those funds to the Urban League which does a lot more to educate and elevate people.
Write and call your state, local and federal representatives and let them know you want the size, the cost, and the reach of government at all levels cut in half, along with a proportional reduction in taxes. We need to stimulate growth and development effectively. Dollars that go to the government come back as 38 cents as all of the bureaucrats and useless appendages suck off their part. Dollars spent by people go into the economy as dollars. Unlike the government, their choices lead to an efficiency in new business and job development that will be sustainable. It is what is needed now.
Continue to show up at the Town Hall Meetings and express your opinions about the administration’s plans and your expectations and needs.
Call all of the liberal shows, talk and otherwise on radio and television, pretend to be an independent and politely present a compelling argument to throw out the progressives and re-establish laws based on the Constitution. Someone out there can put that together if they have not already.
Provide local schools and organizations educational materials from solid groups like the Heritage Foundation.
If you are a single issue voter, learn to get past that. There is too much at stake to afford that indulgence. You are needed on a broader front.
