This is a perfect example of what Ayn Rand called “altruism” and it is evil and immoral to the max for a free people to endure. This is not about helping people willingly (That is Christian Charity) but rather the notion of “unchosen obligations” or obligations chosen FOR YOU to pick up by somebody else who merely wants to “feel” altruistic, i.e. an powerful elite. The “O” said that we were all “going to have to have some skin in the game.” We are not giving skin willingly, we are being flayed and fleeced by those in power.
