Obama To Be Here For The Rioting
WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is postponing his trip to Asia until June so he can stay in Washington for a possible Sunday vote on his health care overhaul plan.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs says Obama has called the leaders of Indonesia and Australia to express his regret that he will not be able to visit their nations. Obama had already pushed the trip back once, delaying his orginally scheduled March 18 departure until Sunday so he could help Democrats on Capitol Hill rally last-minute votes for the plan.
House Democrats say they are on track to vote Sunday on what they claim to be a $940 billion health care bill that they say will expand coverage to millions.

I’d like to express my appreciation as well to Pat Dollard, his staff and all the contributors on this site. It’s great to have a place to vent, to learn and to be among other Patriots. After about 2 years on Hannity, this has been a refreshing change from the Marxist drivel over there. I despise ALL liberals and while the occasional one might pop up over here, they are quickly “disposed of”.
The other sites are lame compared to this site for its quick news, candid thoughts and correct “Conservative” thinking. This site has inspired me to run for my county’s Republican Executive Committee, along with 2 other Tea Party members.

Months ago we agreed that it was to early for our forceful resistance. However, I beleive now is the time. If this bill passes the marxists foot is inside the door and removing it may never be possible.
A police state of heathcare will lead to a police state on our streets. What they began constructing, in the 1930″s, with FDR we have never recovered from. LBJ and the Great Society brought us to near bankruptcy as a nation. I beleive that their goal is bankruptcy leading to anarchy. Every socialist/communist overthrow began with anarchy from which they declared martial law and never looked back. I am afraid that we are at that place…we must decide what comes next before it comes.

And I say the individually safest and most controllable option is to wait it out; wait until the legal process to oppose the tyrannical trends that Congress is emitting totally dissolves to the point there is no possible doubt that we, our nation, is at another second revolution or anarchy. To the point where you notice a consistent increase of mass riots throughout the nation in-person or over the news networks. We haven’t lost total control of our country. There’s still time to turn it back, even if the health care bill passes, though that does present an even tougher obstacle to overcome, but hope is not lost. Influence through oral or non-violent acts is key to what’s taking place right now in our nation. Stick with it. And I’m not intending to sound like a diplomatic wuss; it has its place.

Based on what I know of the events near the end of the Roman Republic, one of the worst aspects that led directly to the Princeps (emperor) was a widespread breakdown in respect for the rule of law and tradition - such as Tiberius Gracchus and the rise of mob rule, or Cicero condemning the Catiline conspirators to death without trial, among many others. While it is tempting to take short-cuts to the desired ends (which is how the Left operates), I think the process of how you get there is actually more important if we are to preserve a society that we will all want to live in.
The States created the Federal government and have both legitimate authority and powers under the Constitution and tenth amendment, as well as the police, militia and courts already in place to make decisions stick. We are obviously not going to fix the Federal government by writing more letters to Congressmen, or by assembling with arms in parks. The next best option may be to concentrate on getting the States to re-exert their authority over the Federal government while also working to remove as much of the Left’s infestation as possible. We needed State governments to make the Revolutionary War successful, and the Civil war would obviously not have happened without the State governments.
Other than the States, where do you go for legitimate legal authority? Citizens tribunals or grand juries like the French Revolution? Descent into chaos and survival of the meanest and fittest is not a good outcome, but may be unavoidable. I fear they may have already set us on a course over the cliff via Cloward-Piven, but let’s at least try to avoid creating more evil in this world.
Great analysis Lone Wolf! Two wolves are the start of a great pack. You are obviously a historian and a statesman. When the people lose faith in their system it is an extremely dangerous time. If the shit is going to hit the fan, then we must not have a French Revolution or a Russian Revolution but a 3rd American Revolution (1776 and 1863 and ?). People who think like you do will be critical to the success of the revolution and the restoration of the Republic. There may be blood but there need not be a bloodbath. I wish I knew how this was going to turn out. I will do what I need to do, but God help me, no more. Justice will demand much more than merely stripping citizenship after what they will do when they fear losing power. Besides, how do you strip Bambi of citizenship that he probably doesn’t have in the first place?
Benjamin Franklin knew that the process was important to obtain the consent of the governed. That is why it will be necessary to put these people on trial and resist the temptation of summary judgements. I think that is where the Roman Republic really went off the rails (the proscriptions of Sulla, for instance).
In order to have another American revolution we need people that are connected to the principles of the founding of the country. The intent of progressives is to whittle away at Americans having that connection. They are doing it with all of our institutions which, by the way, we fund: government, academic, media, financial, etc. We are funding our own demise. I just don’t see how we are going to turn this around. Progressives have made their long march through all of our institutions while we were busy making a living. Now they are now in control. They are very good at agitprop and disinformation. I think that all we can hope for is that their Obamacare taxes in combination with the tax cuts expiring by 2011 will push the economy over the edge into Depression. It will be very ugly, a time of titanic social and political change. It will be violent. Don’t underestimate the bloodthirsty nature of progressives. Look at their history.
