Rep. Steve King (R-IA) is calling for a new procedural solution to stop the health care bill: Have an angry mob of citizens storm Washington and prevent Congress from acting, in imitation of the Velvet Revolution that overthrew communist rule in Czechoslovakia!

The Huffington Post interviewed King after his speech at today’s “Code Red” anti-health care bill rally, a speech in which he called upon the crowd to “Storm this city, fill up Washington D.C., jam this capital so they can’t move.”

Speaking to the Huffington Post shortly after his speech, King declared that a peaceful uprising, a la the successful overthrowing of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia on the streets of Prague in 1989 “would be fine with me.”

“Fill this city up, fill this city, jam this place full so that they can’t get in, they can’t get out and they will have to capitulate to the will of the American people,” he said.

“So this is just like Prague under communist rule?” the Huffington Post asked.

“Oh yeah, it is very, very close,” King replied. “It is the nationalization of our liberty and the federal government taking our liberty over. So there are a lot of similarities there.”

At this point in time; treason is now Patriotic. The sweetheart deals in the bill violates Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. And if Congress passes this bill by “deem and pass” they violate Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution.

In both cases, this bill violates the Constitution on two counts AND Congress has violated their OATH OF OFFICE twice. And Bongo the Clown has violated his OATH OF OFFICE on one count. The government has declared themselves as a “Rouge and Unlawful Government”.

So, what was once considered as treasonous actions against the government is no longer, since they have “self declared” themselves as rouge.

Our armed forces are suppose to protect us from tyranny and from both, foreign and internal threats. So, where do they stand? Can anyone respond to this or are they neutral. If they (Democrats) are indeed an “Unlawful Government” then whom does the Chiefs of Staff answer to? If this country becomes unlawful, by full definition, our Military should restore the law of the land and the Constitution. No different than say a Russian division attempting to take over network links to declare that our Constitution is not valid and therefore a new process will take effect starting this weekend.
If our armed forces do not do anything about this, this means the nation is under siege and martial law will be next.
To your point Sentinel At the Gate, they do (Nancy, Shit-Stain Obongo and the rest) want to play since I have a sinking feeling that the military is behind them as well. I think that the Oath Keepers may need to ramp up something soon before they are all under siege…… I feel it coming folks….it’s a run-away Government and they are doing it in front of all without no one to stop them, not even those sworn to protect the Constitution; The United States Military.

Personally, I think the military already has constitutional justification to arrest great bunches of democrats in Congress. But might as well see if Congress actually pulls off this anti-constitutional coup. If they do, there can be no doubt that the military would have justification to step in.

Now, setting aside the military option, there is a possibility that this thing will be struck down by the SCOTUS. Don’t know how or if that will ever happen, though.

Gonzo, and just who is Bongo the Ass Clown going to get to enforce martial law? Where I come from, the LE folks are not going to fire on the public they live among. National Guard and Reserve are not going to fire on the public they live among. And Active Duty are not going to fire upon their fellow citizens even if the Chimp in Charge or their CG gives the order.

Unless he has foreign forces waiting off-shore his little martial law gig will last at most 5 days before the government is overthrown by Patriots and the military. The troops already see this and will not follow illegal orders no matter who they are coming from. It’s all part of that Code of Conduct thingy.

I crave to be wrong on this and as Zen pointed out, this is a calculated and legal move that need to play out before “showing the cards”. But at some point our military has to exercise their ownership of this evolving situation and it would be within their mission statement to exercise their responsibility as the guardians of freedom and the stewards to our Constitution otherwise they would be no different than a “Banana Republic Military on Steroids”.
I’m not critical of the raking file of our armed forces but of our generals. However, the bulk of the military is made out of American citizens wiling to fight for freedom. If this is not such a case, I’m not sure what it.
We are being invaded by internal, ideological enemies that happen to have some civilian support.
This is no different than say an huge muslin population that voted for a muslin candidate that then begins to pass islamic laws that are forceable on the rest of the population without a majority support of the people and without the proper conduct and process set forth by our founding father. There has been no spark yet for one reason only……we keep backing up every time they say back up. And why do we continue to back up ? Because they will kill us if we don’t. Take health care for example…if it passes,the Fed’s will say “you will participate or we will be fined”! And if you refuse to submit to the fine they’ll issue a warrant and if you refuse to submit to arrest they will kill you!!
So we are being told that “you will accept or we will kill you”. Right? This is the logical conclusion. So what happens if we refuse to back up? Well then the fed has to be the one who fires the first shot…..don’t gloss over this fact…..they have to fire the first shot. They don’t want to! Because they want public sentiment on their side. They nor us can win without having the public on our side.
So the reason it hasn’t started is because they don’t want to fire the first shot. This is very much over simplified but I hope you have the basic gist.

We are on the edge of revolution. It hasn’t started yet, but we are right on the edge, especially if this thing passes. Give it a few months or a year (or 2?) at most.

The Velvet Revolution is a good model to follow. But my guess is we will see a sort of inverted version of the fall of the Soviet Union, with the Democrat Ruling Elite being the regime that falls.

Some violence may be involved, but it will be limited and brief. The Democrat Ruling Elite and their thugs are completely clueless about anything related to combat, and they will crumble quickly. They may think they can simply order the military to suppress a revolt, but they don’t know about the Oath.

And if the fall of the Soviet Union is the best model of what will happen, that means that Obama will be placed under house arrest while he is on vacation in Hawaii. I’m sure Pelosi will be arrested as well.

And that would be sweet.
