Arizona Bill: Obama Must Show His Birth Certificate To Be On Ballot In 2012

PHOENIX — The Arizona House on Monday voted for a provision that would require President Barack Obama to show his birth certificate if he hopes to be on the state’s ballot when he runs for reelection.

The House voted 31-22 to add the provision to a separate bill. The measure still faces a formal vote.

It would require U.S. presidential candidates who want to appear on the ballot in Arizona to submit documents proving they meet the constitutional requirements to be president.

Phoenix Democratic Rep. Kyrsten Sinema said the bill is one of several measures that are making Arizona “the laughing stock of the nation.”

Mesa Republican Rep. Cecil Ash said he has no reason to doubt Obama’s citizenship but supports the measure because it could help end doubt.

    Whether or not obama has a b/c, his keeping it a secret is another cute middle finger to law abiding Americans. It is past time to call his bluff. Acorn didn’t do it, Illinois didn’t do it, the dems didn’t do it, but other states can. It is there electoral votes. He just needs to pass the background check.

    To my knowledge all real birth certificates are serialized. It would be impossible to fake one even from that standpoint. In theory there are no gaps in the list so even an exact reproduction has no where to fit.

    Since they have said he was born in Aug 61′ (I think) It makes it harder than just looking for a spot somewhere. Unless of course they found a spot in 61′ before this was on the radar.

So far we have passed the toughest law against illegal immigration, we will be voting on state nullification (HCR2014) in November, we are filing a lawsuit against the health care mandate, and now this. While I am not convinced his birth certificate is a fake, I say this might end all doubt. We have bigger things to worry about right now and we have Rep. Raul Grijalva (D) asking that companies not do business here in AZ in protest against the immigration bill! Can you freaking believe that?

    Arizona is starting to look better and better to move to. Legal “CCW”, a stricter immigration law, a future plan to contest the HC Bill and now this. Why can’t all states be this Constitutionally American?

Grijalva since it has been estimated that 70-80% of AZ residents support this bill. Friggin Dumocrat, representing his own opinion, and not representing that of the “People” he is suppose to. Sounds like Grijalva needs to be boicotted against during re-election since he’s against his own state. But then again, what do you expect from a first born immigrant who while in college was a member of MEChA, who believe that the SW was stolen from them, and plan on taking it back, sending all “whites” back to Europe? AKA “Por La Raza todo, Fuera de La Raza nada”, which is often translated as “For the Race, everything, outside the Race, nothing”.
