Biden To Give Major War On Terror Address To European Parliament

Vice President Biden will travel to Brussels and Madrid from May 5 to 8 and will give a “major address” to the European Parliament, the White House announced.
“He will meet with leaders and representatives of the European Union institutions to discuss how the United States and the EU can improve cooperation on counter-terrorism and other areas of mutual concern,” the White House said in a statement. “The Vice President will discuss trans-Atlantic security issues with NATO officials and meet with Belgian leaders. In Madrid, the Vice President will meet with King Juan Carlos, President Zapatero, and other members of the Spanish government to discuss bilateral issues, the Spanish Presidency of the EU, and ongoing cooperation to address major global challenges.”
