LOS ANGELES (AP) – A strong earthquake south of the U.S.-Mexico border shook high-rises in downtown Los Angeles and San Diego and was felt across Southern California and Arizona.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the 6.9 magnitude quake struck in Baja California, about 108 miles east-southeast of Tijuana.

Yep – this one scared me a little. It felt like my house was one big rocking chair.

Healthy roller went on for a long time. Was having a late lunch in Disneyland with the kids. Most people didn’t seem to notice, but the way that it undulated, I knew that it was shaking the crap out of somebody farther away. Kept expecting it to get stronger.
