The Hill:

NEW ORLEANS – A top House Republican campaigner says his party is set to gain more seats than it won in the 1994 election.

Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) told the Ballot Box that he has pegged the GOP gains in this year’s election at 56 seats, which would be more than the 54 it won in its landslide election 16 years ago. It would also be more than enough to regain the majority the party lost in 2006 (which requires a 40-seat gain).

“I’ve got us at 56 seats right now,” said Price, who is chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee and also co-chairs the National Republican Congressional Committee’s (NRCC) candidate mentoring program. “And I think it’s only going to rise, because of the policies that this administration has put in place and the activities of the speaker.”

Price added that Republicans are now competitive in more than 100 districts – 104, to be exact.

Republicans like top NRCC recruiter Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) have said before that Republicans will be competitive in nearly 100 districts, but party officials are generally loath to put specific numbers on expected gains or losses.

Price qualified his prediction by saying “I’m the most optimistic guy in the room.”

Dr. Price has put in the work against the demcoms. Lets hope he’s right, but they can destroy a whole lot of liberty in six months.

Oh please, oh please, be right! But, I will hold my optimistic side until November. You guys are so right, throw the acorn voting fraud and illegal immigration into the mix, and it could be a different picture. Demarats, union thugs, are the scum of the earth.

We also have to make sure it’s the right repubs that win. Some of Rs are worse than the Ds when it comes to freedom, taxes and pork spending.

Yeah 6 months is a long time, but lets face it just about every faction in the U.S. is just plain #)*%#(%&# sick and tired of the Democrats. I’m guessin the electorate will hold this grudge against them well past the November elections. Lets face it after roughly 230 years of U.S. Capitolisim you cant expect to get re elected when you ran on the socialist ticket and its socialisim thats ruining the Republic.

Winning all those seats would be just dandy – but how many of the asses in them will be RINO’s?

Increasing the total is not always the same thing as winning.

Provided there is an election and voter fraud isn’t rampant, of course.

I like that pic of Uncle Sam.
