South Korea Ship Sinks

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) – A South Korean official says an external explosion most likely sank a South Korean naval ship three weeks ago with more than a hundred crew members on board.

Chief investigator Yoon Duk-yong told reporters Friday there’s a “high possibility” the explosion that split the ship in two came from outside the vessel. At least 38 sailors have died with eight still missing.

FYI, the photo, it’s the stern (back) 1/3 of the ship.

I posted the above cos the pic kinda looks like a more-or-less intact ship.

Here’s the whole ship, it’s a Pohang class Corvette, pretty much the length of a football field.

DAMN! When you compare the two pictures… Holy shit! Something like that might bring down a ship.

So is the picture posted with the article actually the stern of the ship that sank?

The time for negotiating with the thug in N. Korea is over. Nuke the bastard and free the people. It would send a strong warning to Iran. It is better if S. Korea strikes first, because Kim Jung ill is about to start a war on his terms.

Can’t argue a story comin from Yoon Duk-yong. I am checkin out that strategically placed Korean dating site directly across. It’s always like an easter egg hunt here.

I have been station in Korea twice back in 1984 and 1989. It would not surprise me that the ship might have hit a leftover mine from the Korean War. I remember some of the patrols I have done inside the DMZ and found degraded military equipment, const. wire, and MINES!
