I’ve read multiple stories where the tax loop-holes for financing films (e.g. in Germany) guarantees a profit regardless how the film does at the box-office, (possibly by way of ‘carbon credits’, I’m unsure about that, but it seems plausible).

Never-the-less, if the above or a similar scenario is true, the Commies that are involved will keep making their “message films” that further their cause of the moment.

    Food for thought, eh?

Here’s how it works. Your an independent producer. Your movie costs 10 million to make. Warner Brothers will pay you a license fee of 3 million to distribute it in US theaters. You then go to every other country on the planet and charge a license fee to the major distributors in those countries. Say France gives you 750 thousand, England 1.25 million etc. If you raise more in your license fees than your 10 million budget, the producer, and only the producer and any partners he may have, are in profits. Unfortunately, you generally can’t get more than your budget unless you lie and tell everybody your 10 million budget is really 14. This is how friends of mine have been brought up on charges by various governments around the world including our own.

Hollywood. If you can make it there, you’re a criminal.

Geeze, I didn’t think Carrey’s career was on the rocks just yet.

But I guess if he’s doing the obligatory bow to the gay mafia he must be running on fumes.

Don’t see propaganda movies and I won’t be seeing this one either. All it’s done is drive a few more nails in Hollywood’s coffin. I’ll stick with the classic’s on netflicks. Can’t go wrong with John Wayne.
