Fox News:

Ernesto Enriquez Corralejo lives in a dilapidated home in Fort Hancock, Texas, with no water, gas or electricity. But that’s better conditions, he says, than in his hometown of El Porvenir, Mexico, where drug cartels continue to terrorize residents.

“It’s bad, real bad, sir,” Correlejo, 46, told FoxNews.com. “It’s not safe to be there.”

Corralejo, who came to the U.S. at age 4 with his family, said he knows of at least 20 people who have been killed by drug cartels for either not cooperating in the drug trade or fort not settling marijuana or cocaine debts.

“If you don’t got money to pay them back, they’re going to get you,” he said. “These people are being killed for no reason.”

Corralejo – clad in a dirty green sweatshirt and heavily weathered pants – said he has not worked in 10 years, unable to find a job in industries like construction, farming and manufacturing. His silver beard and hair are unkempt, and most of his upper teeth are missing.

Corralejo is able to survive, he says, with help from his older brother and by doing odd jobs in the Texas town of roughly 1,700 residents. He looks over the border, just a stone’s throw away, with equal parts of disgust and sorrow.

“All my friends, man, all my friends have been killed,” he said. “And no one knows really why.”

Corralejo’s rundown home is not far from Fort Hancock High School, where, according to one secretary, officials are preparing for more students as families in Mexico send their children to live with relatives on the U.S. side of the border.

For Corralejo, who said he frequently hears gunfire pulsating through the Mexican town after sundown, the choice is clear.

“It’s too dangerous,” he said. “They will be safer here.”

Buy some more narco tunes and go home. :gun:

  • Tim Roesch – pseudo intellectual

‘Home’ is coming to our home. Frightened people don’t respect barricades and borders.

So when is someone going to go down to Mexico and represent?

I have said we need to invade Detroit and show people what Americans can do when the govt gets out of the way.

Maybe El Provenir is the place to go. Maybe Mexico needs to lose its border areas and some drug cartels need to see what happens when armed citizens step up.

These people need a revolution. Really. An in your face revolution against these drug cartels. The question is are they so beaten down, so demoralized, so victimized that they are not capable? It would seem so.

They haven’t recovered from the last :gun: Revolution. Too many potential great-grandfathers were culled from the gene pool 1910-1920.

Look at England nowadays. Do you think they would be that messed up if they hadn’t ground up their seed corn in Flanders Fields?

      Same with Mexico.

My guess is,if he came here he wouldnt work for another 10 years.

      Grizz,
I think your “guesser” is in great working order.

This is the type of shit that gives drug lords a bad name. ☻☻☻ ☻☻ ☻

My guess, is that it hasn’t been getting any worse, they are just hearing the rumors of “amnesty”. It’s bullshit.

  • Rob

I dunno… 18000 people killed in cartel-related violence since Dec 2006? That’s definitely getting worse. If you ask me, as a U.S. Marine…that poses a more significant threat to national security right now than Iraq or Afghanistan(tho we definitely need to be there too). I’d say, lock down the borders, ask permission from the Mexican government to fix their little cartel problem, load for bear, and kick some ass!

    • Robert

I was pissed about the amnesty thing. Reading my post it was a little confusing. I agree with you on more security on the border. It is a problem we are hearing more and more about. I didn’t know that there had been that many deaths lately though. Thanks for serving Rob.

This may be the answer to one of Obamas big problems. He promised the Latinos amnesty if they would vote for him. Now he can’t deliver and La Raza and other groups are pissed. After getting CommieCare passed into law against the wishes of most, amnesty might set off a revolution. But with political asylum he could turn millions into legal citizens,
Wonder if there is anyplace in world Amercan citizens can claim political asylm?

    alaska…..the final frontier

  • Jake

Send the marines to the border. Tell them to shoot at will. there would be no illegals crossing then. The military needs to take this country back and it starts by using our volunteer forces for all they are worth. i would have loved to have this job when i was in. The problem is…the border patrol agens are overworked, underpaid and all they want to do is go home at the end of the day to their families. Jarheads…..wanna kill!!!! all this crazy cartel shit would stop on the border if the marines were there 24/7.

Why doesnt this mex buy a gun and go back and kill some druggies?
Instead he comes to our hood and asks for protection.
Why should we risk our lives to save his. What has he done for us?
