Labor isn’t the voice of workers.

    It’s their master.

Having worked for a company for 35 years with union representation, I had always advocated a need for that representation, even being a shop steward at one time. However, as I became older, I realized that the mistrust of my employer sown by my union ‘brothers and sisters’ was simply a means to keep their union shop in business. They were nothing more than donut eating thugs with no real understanding of the law; just thugs striving to keep their perks at our expense. Towards the end of my years there, I was a strong advocate of representation by a law firm instead, at half the cost of what the union was exacting in monthly dues, to no avail. In fact, since my retirement, my former ‘brothers and sisters’ have been working without a contract for nearly a year while ‘negotiations’ continue.

I can clearly see why these guys would want to capture the minds of the youth. They are so impressionable and moldable. Exactly what Marx talked about! It is also interesting that Glenn Beck has made such an impact that his name would come up by these so-called ‘progressives’ as something to be concerned about…..

Glad you made the trip back to reality. My father was a teamster for 40 years. And the last 25 years he just shook his head at the hypocrisy and antics pulled by the union thugs. At the end of his career when he needed the union they told him to fuck off. He sued, he won and every time he got the monthly newsletter he returned it with an expletive written across the page. When he died, they sent my mother a large Bible with the teamsters logo emblazened on the cover. She sent it back with a note that I couldn’t believe she would write – but it was quite nasty.

I would say teachers unions are by far the worst of the worst for the simple fact that they cram this load of shit down the students throats with no regard for the facts. As a parent I always told my kids to challenge them or call them out on the politics. If they got written up for it – I went to the school and set the bums straight as to what I expected them to teach my children and liberal/socialist politics was not a subject being offered. That shut em down.
