No other book is quoted as much. No other book in history has nearly come close to selling as many copies.

    You know guys, in the spirit of free speech, I’m OK with her right to that statement, IF, and this is a big IF, she has the intestinal fortitude to travel to Egypt or Saudi Arabia and say the same thing about the Koran. Hell, on second thought I’m feeling generous, I’ll even let her stay in the West and say it. It’s amazing what these uberlibs are willing to say in the freedom and comfort of the West, simply amazing!!

      That might be valid if her statements had some semblence of accuracy, but she is completely ignorrant of scientific history. The greatest minds in science prior to the 19th century believed in a creator, the marvelous intracacy of the universe was a sign of a designer, not random chance.

      I look at the modern athiest with pity, to believe in neo-Darwinian evolution is to believe in a theory so devoid of supporting facts and so contrary to what is plainly observable it truly is a willful denial of the obvious.

      I am a scientist, a professor and a member of Mensa and I have concluded that due to the infinite complexity of the universe, from the quark to DNA to Earth’s position in the Milky way the HAS to be a creator.

      Apparently this dimwit finds it easier to believe that life came from non living chemicals like methane and carbon dioxide that, that’s a proposition for which I don’t possess enough faith.

    Working in the arena of Bible-As-Ancient-Literature: What does she think of Homer’s Odyssey? The Illiad? How about every single original chronicle of ancient history? By her standards, aren’t they all in the same category?

    By her standard, should we abandon all ancient literature and history? At what point in the past do we start trusting history? A.D. 0? After the fall of the Roman Empire? Do we only believe things after Isaac Newton? Oh wait, he believed in a Creator, so obviously no.

    I guess we’re supposed to believe only what she says.

    I’ve yet to encounter any atheist or anti-Christian or whatever who criticizes the bible and has actually studied it.

    The bible is the most influential book in the history of mankind. It is the most widely sold, it is the most studied, and it is the most CAREFULLY studied.

    I think I will accept the claims of centuries worth of scholars, historians, and theologians who were/are actually worth a damn over that of some talentless ugly cunt whose profession is “comedy”.

Apparently this woman is more enlightened than Nicholas Copernicus, Galileo, Issac Newton, Francis Bacon, Johannes Kepler, Albert Einstein… more eminent than George Washington, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln… more virtuous than Mother Theresa, Francis of Assisi, Amy Carmichael, Robert Muller…. all of which, along with many, many, other influential persons throughout history, who held to a firm faith in God and the scriptures.
