I guess that’s ancient history, but it’s an interesting read nonetheless.
I like Bill Kristol. However, I also think he’s wrong on this. Not because of image, entitlement, equal ‘justice’, or whatever: Charlie Rangel’s gavel sent more than a few citizens packing off to jail because of his legislation. Now (jeez! dare I say this?) the ‘chickens have come home to roost’.
I think Bill’s thinking has been swayed by Charlie’s geniality, which is unfortunate. So, for now, as far as I’m concerned, Bill has cashed in his one and only ‘get out of jail free’ card. I’m giving Bill a ‘pass’.
But don’t do this again, sir, lest you be saddled with the scarlet letters of “RINO”.
