      If one studies the matter a little more closely it will be found that all of the Islamic “discoveries” over the past 1300 years were actually made by Jews living in Moooslim countries. The main reason that Mooslims have never been able to develop technologically is (you guessed it) their brand of religion. They can’t conceive of Allah as operating according to any form of natural law. To do so would somehow diminish Allah’s soveriegnty. The reason that things appear as they do now is because Allah wants it that way. He could change his mind at any moment, capricious diety that he is, and that new situation would become the new law of physics. It is therefore blasphemy to engage in scientific pursuits. It is all about “the will of Allah.” There can be no improvement on what Allah has done.

Or, how many innocent people will be killed if we fly an airplane fully loaded with aviation fuel into a building? You now see the contribution that these goat worshippers have made to civilization.

    In the 60′s the “Space Race” with the Russians and Kennedy’s moon mission motivated the nation in math science and engineering through purpose. With an objective like “making muslims feel good about their accomplishments” the results will be zilch.

    We already have agencies to do stuff like this: The Department of Education and The Department of State.

    This is logically the same as making the Department of Energy’s first priority to “reach out to Buddhists”.

    The only possible reason for this is to make NASA irrelevant and to destroy our ability to explore space. Obama can’t possibly be this stupid or incompetent, this is sabotage.

    The only thing I would add is that Obama seems awfully intent on giving Muslims credit for things they had nothing to do with. You have to be a cultural Muslim at heart to be thinking along those lines.
