Financial Overhaul

Ben Smith:

Scott Brown gets a lecture from Rush Limbaugh for backing the financial regulatory overhaul:

The Republicans are only as strong as their weakest link. Now, here’s an illustration, and herein lies the problem with Republican governance because Republican governance is different from conservative governance. There’s a story, MSNBC, Scott Brown, the Republican who won Ted Kennedy’s seat, is going to vote “yes” on financial reform. There is no conservative anywhere who would vote “yes” on financial regulatory reform. It is a fraud of a bill. It should not come close to even passing. But here we have a Republican voting for it, and if you read the story, he makes arguments that sound very much like liberal arguments, that it does all these wonderful things, that it’s got a consumer bill of rights in it, it’s gonna make sure that big, fat cats on Wall Street don’t get to screw anybody anymore when in fact it does not do that, and it cannot do that, and it will not do that. So this is going to be up to the Republicans, what they do with this victory in the House that even the White House now appears to be hoping for.

And they say voting for a RINO is better than having a democrat win the seat. Someone please explain the difference because I’m seeing more RINO’s voting with dems than they do with R’s by a wide margin. The point of having two sides is to open the floor for debate and declare victory. NOT reach across the isle and compromise the future of this country. WHAT’S BEST IS WHAT’S BEST.

    :gun:

No RINO this … he’s been a Democrat infiltrator all along. I’m telling you … they have infiltrated every level of society with a lie in order to bring this country down. In the end, there will only be one solution to the problem … and, it won’t be resovled through an election.

So now will everyone concur that the Republican “machine” is not any different from the Democrat “machine”? There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between these two criminal groups. Tea Party all the way, and fuck the rest. We’ll come for you in the 2012 elections and beyond. Time we threw out the trash – ALL OF IT!

What I’ve been saying for 2 years. Vote out all of the WHORES and put in fiscal conservatives and social libertarians.

  • Gary in Midwest

Find a tea party replacement and start campaigning now.

To anyone who told people they were wasting their votes by not giving to the republican, you can suck a fart out of my ass.

Arlen Specter, Scott Brown, Mark Kirk, John McCain should be very good examples. They care more about their seat of power than the people they supposedly serve.

You want me to give my vote to the GOP, then you better let them know they need to run conservatives.

not willing to suck fart out of your butt—but your right 100%

I thought Brown was supported by the Tea Party.

  • Judith, typical White Ohioan

Brown was supported by the Tea Party. I don’t think all Tea Partiers are conservative from what I have read and seen. Independents are not necessarily conservative and they make up a good percentage of the TP. Brown could not be and can never be a conservative in Massachusetts.

    • David

Keep in mind, it is the Tea Party movement in Massachusetts. They think it is a party where you drink tea and eat crumpets.

This loser will serve two and screw. No way he gets elected in Ma. again. When he crosses the street he better have his head on a swivel.
