In Germany, you have to get permission from the state to ensure the name you have chosen for your child is approved before you can legally name them. Is that really what we want to move towards here in America…the land of the free? Do I think these parents are total morons for naming their children this way YES. But they probably would never have been investigated if the super market hadn’t reported them for the names they wanted on a birthday cake. Obviously there may be pieces missing to the story….were the children really neglected and abused?
My dad is a retired OB/GYN. He had a patient name her baby Cocaine. We also had a Snow White and some pretty other “out there” names.

I live not to far from Chicago. There is a couple in my area who’s last name is Fields. These idiots of course named their child Wrigley. Now that sounds like child abuse to me. Why didn’t they just name their kid “Beat-up-at-recess-everyday” or “In-therapy-the-rest-of-my-life”. It would have at least been more descriptive.

Aw hell, give them a reality show. Problem solved.

As stupid as these folks are, they have a right (for now) to name their kids the stupid ass things that they do. And their children, at the age of 18, will have the right to change their own names at their own discretion.
And then when their parents die, they’ll have the right to go shit of their graves, too.
In the meantime, government, please stay the FUCK out of my life!
(On a side note, during the interview on the couch, the wife’s body language was a bit non-receptive/supportive of her ignoramus of a husband.)
