I hated film. Going digital all those years ago made me a better photographer. ISO aperture settings, shutter speeds, these are all things that I use on my Digital SLR. Bought the very first commercially available digital camera, the Kodak DC30 back in 93 or 94. Haven’t looked back since.

I used to work in the photo industry, and up until about four years ago I was still shooting a film SLR. I’ve since switched to Digital and would not go back. Some say that film looks richer and is easier to work with because the exposure latitudes are greater. Digital looks just as good to me. I use the ISO, Aperture and Shutter settings all the time on my Olympus E520.

It’s probably more about being able to keep the original prints in their control rather than their like or dislike of digital/film cameras.
Plus as the lady says later in the video, they are probably technology adverse.
From what I’ve seen and used, higher end digital cameras are just as good if not better than the old film cameras as long as people know how to use them.
The same could be said for 35 mm cameras though as film looks like crap when the wrong hands are using the camera.

In high school my photo teacher had a hasselbad, to this day that was the best camera I ever used. The big negatives gave clarity when blown up. Digital makes it easy for anyone to take great photos. The skill is in the eye.

The quality of digital is terrible,it only looks good on the monitor, and the more you use a digital camera the quality goes down.Digital has not improved since I first heard of it in 1982,our standards of quality have gone down.and some of us have accepted digital. It is just another job killer.
