Woman Fired For Bringing Gun To Work

I hope this lady wins her case. Not only did she disclose to authorities that she had a registered gun in her vehicle, but she acted responsibly throughout. I would also like to know if something happened in her past that would motivate her desire to carry personal protection.

    On a more general note . . .
As Robert Heinlein said, “An armed society, is a polite society”. I bet if more Americans carried, fewer crybaby lefties would run their mouths off without thinking (a la Bill Maher, Rachel Maddow, etc).

I respect this lady and hope that the scales of Justice find in her favor.

That’s unfortunate. She does have the secure right to store her firearm in her personal vehicle, even while on private property. She’s lawfully protected by that because she is a CCW holder. But, ultimately, the private employer still reserves the right to dismiss it’s employees for whatever reason they claim. I won’t argue there. Albeit a really lame issue, it is private property. Then again, Georgia is different from Arizona when it comes to gun laws.

My question is…how did the employer find out she carries? Did she tell her friends or do something naive around there like that? Or, though it may sound unlikely, did someone who worked/works there run a check on her license plate to find out?

Same thing happened to me on June 14th of this year, my employer found out I carried a gun and fired me on the spot. Most employers have rules against it anymore and I was aware of it, but chose not to abide by it since I drove all over the state often times by myself for many hours.

That’s fine, I have a much better job working for FedEx now. I hated the other job.

thats funny. my job requires a gun, many guns of many different types. and i work for the government. well i guess it depends on the job. but then again i cant keep them in my personal car.
