ICE Raids Part Of Meth Smuggling Investigation

TUCSON – The owner of the two business locations raided by ICE today was arrested on charges of smuggling methamphetamine and money laundering.
Luis Esquivel, listed as the owner of M and M Truck Boutique on the Better Business Bureau’s website, was arrested today by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. ICE spokesperson Vincent Picard says his home was also searched.
ICE agents, IRS officials and Tucson Police officers raided the M and M Truck Boutique on East Broadway Blvd. this morning at about 6 a.m. Later, they searched the other location near Palo Verde and Interstate 10.
Picard says Esquivel will have his initial appearance in federal court in Tucson this evening.
