This law is a bag of PC crap. I live in the Kewaunee school district (though we homeschool our kids), and I do not know of a single person who wasn’t deeply offended by the school boards decision to cave in to this bogus ruling.
The “complainant” is a former teacher who apparently had no problem with the Indians while she was a teacher, but as soon as she retired, all of a sudden she is “offended” by the name?
This law is written so that all you have to do is file with the Department of Public Instruction that you find a school’s race-based mascot or team name offensive, and they serve papers on the school district that they either need to change the name, or prove that the name or mascot is not offensive.
How do you prove that something is NOT offensive?
This is another example of a feel-good lib-tard law.
Goodbye liberals! Hope you enjoyed your time in control. If people are thinking, it will be a LONG time before you are allowed to be in charge of much of anything for a while!
