Cali Voters Reject Legalization Of Marijuana

LOS ANGELES (AP) – California voters said no thanks to a ballot initiative that would have made it the first state to legalize marijuana for recreational use and sales.

Proposition 19, rejected Tuesday, would have made it legal for adults 21 and over to possess up to an ounce of marijuana, smoke the drug in nonpublic places and grow it in private plots.

The proposed law also would have authorized local governments to permit commercial pot cultivation and sales.

Proponents pitched the measure as a source of tax revenue and a sensible experiment for reducing marijuana-related arrests and crime.

Another sad day for truth and freedom.

Oh America it’s amazing to see how far you’ve fallen.

No John454 it is a happy day for truth and freedom.
Oh America it’s amazing to see how far you’ve leaped. John454 pot is already legally available to whomever wants it in California, and recently Gov. Arnold decriminalized small amounts and that will free up the court system that has been bogged down by marijuana arrests as well as keep recreational users out of jail and without misdimenors on their records if they get caught with less than an ounce, and an ounce of good weed from the California medical pot shops can keep you stoned John454 for a long time. If the demorats that govern California want to stop the crime and flow of drugs from the sethpool of Mexico then they should build a wall on our southern border 20 feet deep and 30 feet tall.

Yeah things are moving in the right direction but until we are allowed to grow our own we are under the control of someone else.

Apparently not everyone in California is stoned out of their mind…. yet.

Maybe they are, and they were too stoned when they voted.
