For the record, Morris said yesterday that McCain was going to vote for START. But McCain voted against START, and in fact was always opposed to START. He did try to amend it in order to curb START’s worst features, guessing (accurately) that the treaty would be ratified.
Having said that, I agree that the Republican Senators who did vote for START are disgusting pieces of garbage and deserve real grief. Each of them should face primary challenges.
