Arrested: Mother Abandons 21 Year-Old Mentally Retarded Midget Son At Sea World

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) – A mother was arrested by Orange County deputies after they say she left her 21-year-old disabled son alone at a SeaWorld play area.
Rosa Pou, 44, was arrested Monday when a SeaWorld security officer noticed what he thought was an 8-year old child alone for more than an hour in a play area. Deputies say the son has mental disabilities. They initially thought he was 8 years old based on his size.
When park security finally found the mother she refused to allow a paramedic to attend to her son. Deputies say she was joking about her son getting lost. Pou told deputies that she had left her son under the supervision of her daughter. The daughter told investigators that she left her brother at the playground because he refused to go with her.
Pou was charged with with neglect of a disabled person and resisting an officer without violence.
The son was turned over to the care of his father.
