Today, anger and hate are our only salvations, the only first steps towards meeting God halfway in the battle to save America.

    Anger is a useful tool when channeled correctly. The key is to control it and not let it control you.

    A good friend once told me
    “I don’t believe that hatred and rage “will eat me alive”. Sounds good, but I don’t know that it can be proven. Perhaps having hatred and rage that you don’t control, like any other impulse, will hurt you, give you diseases, “eat you alive”. But hatred and rage are our primary motivations to go through the hard work of seeking justice by damaging or killing our enemies, preserving our reputations, reputations which often spare us further attack by intimidating new challengers, preserving our self-respect, and stopping those who hurt,destroy and kill from doing it again, I don’t think an intellectual appreciation for achieving these things enough. There needs to be a violent spirit that moves us to unleash violence upon the deserving. One’s hatred and rage should have an appropriate amount of sway over us. Some people can’t handle it in their systems like some can’t handle alcohol or lust. That’s their problem, not mine. ”

    Anger, in the form of adrenaline, shunts blood away from the brain to the muscles and shuts down the higher functions of the brain.

    It leaves you managing on the brain stem alone… a lot smaller than the brain of a chimp… something like a lemur.

    So to paraphrase the quote: As things get really difficult our salvation lies in not using our greatest asset.. the thing that sets up apart from other animals… reason.

    Well that might not be as crazy as it sounds… if you think we’re headed for a fight… but just before we get there I’ll be keeping my blood pressure down if there’s any chance of demanding our government act intelligently.

    Now I am fucking pissed! The Sharon K. Pacheco Foundation in Denver, CO has just caved to pressure from the Left and canceled a May fundraiser with Sarah Palin to raise money for military families.

    The new civility does not apply to the Left who are becoming more unhinged and unglued because they fear Palin will run for POTUS (they know she can beat Obama regardless of the skewed LSM polls otherwise they would ignore her). They want to silence her so that the American people do not get to hear her views.

    That a group which is supposed to stand for our troops would be so cowardly and fearful of threats from the Left is beyond pitiful. I am positive many Vets would have volunteered to provide security for this event and would have beat the crap out of the any Leftists who would try to disrupt it. Now everyone loses, especially the families of our troops. Our military deserves better than this. They put their lives on the line for us every day.

    Too many in our country no longer have a steel spine and are not willing to fight evil losers from the Left. George Bush just had to cancel a speech in Switzerland because the Left had a meltdown over it.

    Enough is enough! I stand with Sarah Palin. She is one of the few who has no fear of the Left or the Media. She will not sit down and shut up. We need more like her!

    Anger is unavailing if there is no remedy to the catalyst but I have always felt forgiveness is overrated-it makes one slow to anger.
