Little problem here, as Sammon ends up by summarizing that Obama leading America into Socialism ended up fact. And worse. In addition, Sammon never says he lied, but engaged in “mischievous speculation”. Such type of speculation, quite frankly, is done all the time by every journalist under the sun, as, well, that’s part of the job description.

Media Matters has released audio the group says it recorded of Bill Sammon, Fox News’ Washington managing editor, speaking on a Mediterranean cruise in 2009. On the tape, Sammon seems to suggest that he talked up the president’s possible belief in Socialism, while privately dismissing the idea as “far-fetched.”
