House members don’t get elected as POTUS (a few have in our history but ages ago).
We need a leader who has executive experience, a proven track record in leading a state or even a city, a strong foreign policy vision, expert on energy issues, and who can duke it out with the MSM.
West has just been elected so he doesn’t have enough of a record. I love him to death because he is a fierce patriot and could see him as a VP choice.
Bachmann just took a boatload of money to be re-elected to Congress and has since spent her time running for prez. Bet her constituents are real happy. /s She has no major legislative accomplishments in Congress of which I am aware. No experience as a mayor or governor or even running a major corporation. No foreign policy experience either.
Case closed.

Absolutely Agree with Derised 1.
The Words CEO, CFO, or COO need to be part of ANY Presidential Resume.
A president or vp of non-liberal company like GE or Progressive (those folks need a bullet to head to kill the zombies running amok) should be a mandate.
Also, No F’n Way to Beck…….I AM NO EDUCATION SNOB, BUT HE HAS NO COLLEGE DEGREE AT ALL. A BBA, BSBA, IS MINIMUM & PREFERRED MBA OR MPA FOR ME TO EVEN THINK THEY ARE WORTH IT. (OR EVEN BETTER ARE DEGREES AS CIVIL ENGINEER, AVIATION MANAGEMENT, MANUFACTURING MANAGEMENT, MECHANICAL ENGINEER)
AND NO MORE LAWYERS FROM HARVARD, YALE, PRINCETON, DUKE, STANFORD, ETC. IT IS TIME FOR ANYONE IN GOVT TO HAVE LAW DEGREE FROM SMU, TCU, OU, KANSAS, NOTRE DAME, VALPARAISO, ETC.

I am sick of lawyers running things in DC. We need more outsiders.
I think Bachmann and West could run for POTUS in a few years but they just don’t have the experience we need right now. Bachmann performs at 5% and under in most GOP 2012 polls so she is a non-starter. West would poll higher but he needs to have a record first.
Cain and Trump sound good but I look at what people have accomplished from now on. Soundbites and cute speeches are not enough anymore. I want to learn more about Cain’s and Trump’s records first.
The only candidate who has been vetted with the experience and the policy stands that I agree with is Palin. She is also an energy expert which we need crucially.

Don’t have the experience? What the hell kind of experience did Obama have? Oh I forgot, he holds the record (possibly)for the most “present” votes while holding office as an Illinois senator.

Yeah and we saw how that worked out.
I’m voting smart this time. Show me what you have accomplished, not make a bunch of nice sounding promises. I want to know everything – track records, fiscal management, associations, if they are beholden to special interests, record on fighting corruption, etc – everything!

IMO a flock of GOP retreads (Huckabee, Romney, Palin, Ron Paul) or some other ‘career politician’ will only hurt our chances of ousting Obama; they will simply splinter the vote. Need to support the 1 or 2 candidates with the best chance at winning / getting the U.S. back on track (we’ll know who they are in the future – they’ll break from the other candidates in the polls).
I think our best chance would be with an independent, Ret. from uniformed service, non-career politician, successful business man / woman with foreign trade experience, no questionable Bank or Wall St connections – - and – - someone who can produce a long-form BC

Palin is not a “retread” – it was McCain’s campaign. Palin was in for less than 8 weeks. She was muzzled by McCain staffers.
Palin is the one who has been leading the fight to drill baby drill, calling out Obama on death panels, standing with Gov. Brewer for Arizona, staunchly defending Bibi and Israel (did you see how Bibi was smiling at her?), coming balls out for the Tea Party. She had a 90% approval rating as governor – unheard of these days.
Palin was the most sought-after endorsement in the 2010 mid-terms and led most of her candidates to wins. No one else was as effective.
Her Facebook numbers are fast approaching 3 million. None of the other GOP candidates come close. Bet when she announces, it will be wall to wall worldwide coverage. When she sneezes, it makes news.
