Mexico Hires New York Law Firm To Sue U.S. Gun Manufacturers And Dealers, While ATF Themselves Dodge Question Of Why They Have Been Supplying Guns To The Cartels – With Video

April 22nd, 2011 (26) Posted By Pat Dollard.

The question is, are they going to sue Obama, Eric Holder and the ATF who have been caught red-handed supplying guns to the cartels in a criminal set-up to falsely blame U.S. gun dealers for supplying them, specifically to aid in shutting them down via these lawsuits and impending legislation? This is a criminal conspiracy on the part of the administration far bigger than Watergate, and it should bring the administration down.

Mexico (AP) – Thursday, a Mexican official confirmed that President Felipe Calderon’s government has hired a U.S. law firm to investigate possible civil lawsuits against U.S. gun manufacturers or dealers, for what Mexican officials consider the companies’ responsibility for guns that are smuggled to Mexico’s drug war.

The government has long demanded the United States crack down on cross-border arms smuggling amid drug violence in Mexico that has killed more than 34,000 people over the last four years.

According to the official, who agreed to speak about the legal action only if granted anonymity, the government hired a New York-based law firm late last year to explore possible suits against U.S. gun manufacturers that may have knowingly or imprudently produced or distributed weapons that wound up in the hands of Mexican drug cartel gunmen.

Calls to the New York law firm seeking to confirm the contract went unanswered. The U.S. National Rifle Association did not immediately return calls seeking comment on Mexico’s action.

Many guns used to kill in Mexico never have their origins traced. But U.S. officials say that of the weapons discovered at Mexican crime scenes that authorities do choose to trace, nearly 90 percent are eventually found to have been purchased in the U.S. Critics of that estimate contend Mexican authorities focus on U.S.-made guns to trace.

A November 2008 study by the Brookings Institution, a Washington-based think tank, estimated 2,000 U.S. guns are smuggled into Mexico each day. A new U.S. effort to increase inspections of travelers crossing the border has netted just 386 guns in two years.

Like I said on this site the other day…they are coming for us and they are coming soon! The overt attempts to disarm us are going to come forward in a cornucopia of ways…and some of those ways will stick and some weapons or style of weapons, and some ammunition or types of ammunition are going to be banned.

Fox is reporting, on their website, this morning that the move in the US Senate to reopen the banning of lead ammunition and lead fishing tackle is underway again. Also the call to increase exise tax on ammo and weapons sales.

Beware! They are coming…no longer in the dark of night…with their cronie in the White House and their cohorts in the main stream media…they are coming for us and our stuff…right in the middle of the day…that….

I had more to say, but I had better reserve that for another time and format…everything we say can and will be held against us!

I dont believe any of our constitutional rights should be taken away, but if mexico wants to sue arms dealers then let them, there should be a law in place that prohibits these corporations from selling arms to people like the Cartels and other criminal organizations. if thats what it takes for them to do proper business then go right ahead. Oh and for all of you that are borderline racist against the mexicans, You will never know how bad it is or how much they have to put up with by being called names and ttold to go back unless you put yourself in their shoes. Where the hell do you think you guys came from??? Unless you are Native Amrican, you have no room to talk. This is AMERICA! and the reason that most illegals are still illegal is because it is Cheap labor and it would hurt agriculture financially. I hope to God that None of you ever have to deal with bigotry and prejudice EVER. I will tell you one thing though, when most americans like you guys sit here and complain about how bad our goverment is and how bad it sucks, People in Mexico and illegals here, who are not criminals and not in cartels are still dreaming about how great it would be to live in America. Young men sign up for a work visa in order to fight OUR war, not because of a chance to get citizenship but because they believe in this country that much. Oh and by the way, those guys that join our arms forces when they are done with their service, they dont get to stay and they dont get papers. and all that tax money you guys are saying, when illegals buy and work they get taxes taken out of their checks, they pay sales taxes, and some people even pay into the IRS. Place yourselves in the shoes of others before talking then imagine living everyday being judged solely on the color of your skin and the language you speak. I love America so much, theres no other place like it, it is the best in the world. But when i read commments such as many of yours, I feel a little bit of shame to be grouped with all those ideas. I hope none of you ever have to live through anything like these people do. “Give me your tired, Your poor, Your huddled masses, Yearning to Breath Free…” Remember where you came from.

“Amazing! Looks like it’s time for the U.S. to sue Mexico for the flood of illegals crossing the border into the U.S. since Mexico’s efforts to stop the flow of illegals has been non-existent! Illegal immigrants cost our country a ridiculous amount of tax dollars in free medical, schooling, the cost to incarcerate the many illegals in our prisons & jails and not to mention any state assistance like welfare/foodstamps etc..they receive. The statistics on violent-offenders in the U.S illegally from Mexico are soaring so I’d say it’s long past time to cut these offenders off…no more aid to Mexico, no more leniency for illegal immigrants…I mean this must be a joke…”

Let’s start a National class action against Mexico…I want my tax dollars back.

A trillion a year in reparations…plus send back all the military hardware we sent them, so it can’t be sold to the cartels by corrupt Mexican officials.

I would think criminal prosecutions could be in order if those guns were used to kill someone. Anyone who had knowledge and condoned these sales could be prosecuted.

But then again who is the head of the justice department?

  • Jafro

Wait… it’s not US residents sending guns to Mexico. It’s illegal Mexican immigrants and cartel operatives getting them here and bringing them back. ONCE AGAIN, another argument for securing the borders. You know… So that lawsuits don’t get raised against private companies that sell products which the ATF agents GAVE to those criminals to begin with.

The affects of the ATF’s phony sting operation cause the loss of American freedoms? I don’t think so. This is BS! I don’t think there’s ever been a more obvious political scandal. American citizens aren’t at fault. The ATF, Attorney General, and the President need to be held accountable for threatening this nation’s constitutionally protected freedoms. Period.

But look at the bright side… this breaks just prior to an election year! It’s not all bad.

Calderon needs to focus on the problems in his own country instead of always blaming America.

So sick of this Calderon clown who wants to lecture us all the time.

Gun manufacturers and dealers are usually exempt from lawsuits but you never know with some of these wacko judges and lawyers.

The ATF’s actions need to be fully investigated and those responsible be held accountable.

More evidence of guns pouring into Mexico–from the south
Evidence continues to mount that contrary to claims on the part of those who would use Mexican drug war violence to justify heavier gun regulation in the U.S., the civilian gun market in this country is at most a very minor player as a source of the criminals’ firepower–at least when the U.S. government isn’t abetting the process. When the narco-thugs go shopping for firepower, they go south. The latest confirmation of that comes from McClatchy, in “Drug gangs help themselves to Central American military arsenals”:

When all in government are criminals, then crime only exists among the people.
By supplying arms to known cartel members our government is an accessory to the murder of our own citizens. Our executive is an accessory to murder. There is no crime in government, because they are all criminals. Our nation is doomed.

I seem to recall not long ago that the President of Mexico was speaking in front of Congress and continued to name-call, blame, and make derogatory remarks AND ALL THE DEMOCRATS GAVE HIM THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE AND STANDING OVATIONS. Elections have consequences. Remember those 3 words in 558 days.
