Ten-Hour SWAT Team Siege After Mother Refuses To Medicate Her Child – With Video

A mother was involved in a ten-hour stand-off with a police SWAT team after refusing to give her child some medication.

Maryanne Godboldo, from Detroit, was accused of medically neglecting her 13-year-old daughter Ariana by not administering her with an anti-psychotic drug.

Staff from the Child Protective Services, accompanied by police, turned up at Godboldo’s home to take her child into state care.

A SWAT team then descended on the 56-year-old woman’s house with a tank and automatic rifles after she was accused of firing a gun at police officers.

After a ten-hour stand-off, which resulted in the mother giving herself up, Ariana was taken into protective custody.

The girl had been home-schooled by her mother but wanted to start going to a regular school, which required her to take a number of immunisations, reports Prisonplanet.com.

The girl then suffered adverse reactions to these shots and her mother was told to put her on a prescribed pyschotropic drug.

‘She began acting out of character, being irritated, having facial grimaces that have been associated with immunisations,’ the child’s aunt, Penny Godboldo, told the Detroit News.

The mother at first took the advice of doctors and gave Ariana the medication, Risperdal, but stopped after she said it was making her daughter’s condition worse.

Risperdal is an anti-psychotic medication which works by changing the effects of chemicals in the brain.

It is used to treat, among other things, schizophrenia, as well as the symptoms of bipolar disorder and autism.

‘Child Protective Services was trying to force her child to take a dangerous medication, Risperdal, against her will,’ said the Godboldo family lawyer.

Maryanne Godboldo is now facing criminal charges including firing a weapon in her house and resisting a police officer.

Her bail has been set at $500,000.

‘We’re hoping that Ariana is returned home, this whole matter is released, because we don’t think that the mother has done anything at all,’ attorney Wanda Evans told My FOX Detroit.

Ariana remains in protective custody, at the Hawthorne Center in Northville.

Officials have said they have not medicated the girl since she has been in their care.

    So a Mother who knows her child better than anyone else sees a drug prescribed by some who maybe spent 20 minutes with the child is having harmful affects and stops giving it to her child.. then the government takes the child away. Oh HELL NO!

    Allegedly Japanese doctors stopped a certain vaccine from being administered due to a large number of deaths around the world. That was March 8th. March 13th, Japan had a huge earthquake that has probably killed that nation.

    I know, first hand; what shrinks do, What these meds do.
    It’s easier than you can possibly imagine to have a child institutionalized. And the way they treat people… less than human.

    Just a reminder to all of those who insist on calling all those who serve in the military “Heroes”. The fact is at least one of the members of the swat team is an Iraqi veteran. Remember this, the majority of the military will do exactly what they are ordered to do, whether it’s taking you’re children or taking you’re guns. “I was just following orders”

    I live in Detroit, MI, we are recovering from a former Socialist Governor (Granholm, from Canada) and over 50 years in the city of failed progressive/democratic programs/agendas. They have tried to destroy everything, and are doing a fine job, one of the last two things, which is on their agenda to destroy is gun ownership, as well as the government dolling out money and then using it to make a single independent family unit rely on the government, thus the arrogant fucks think have the right to do things like this. As a former Marine and Officer with DPD, I have the utmost respect for the rule of law, but I agree with this woman, and many other LEO’s could empathize with her decision. Believe me, many cops hate the governing body of this city.

    I have a son that is three years old who began to show signs of autism after the mmr shot. I have since had him tested for heavy metals. He had high levels of aluminum, mercury and lead in his system. The organs that he had these levels include his brain, his heart, kidneys, liver, lungs and small intestine. He is now going through heavy metal detox and has been going through it for three weeks. He has begun to play with other kids, play with his toys normally and has begun to talk. I know that these shots caused him harm. Of course they would. Their ingredients include mercury and the mercury free shots have aluminum in them. Look up the rest of the ingredients beta-propialactone, genetically modified yeast, animal bacterial and viral dna, latex rubber, monosodium glutamate, micro-organisms, polysorbate 80, tri(n)butylphosphate, glutaraldehyde, gelatin, gentamicin sulfate and polymyxin B, neomycin sulfate and human and animal cells. There’s two other ingredients that you may know, Pheno/phenoxyethanol which is used in antifreeze and formaldehyde and yes, I mean the stuff they use in embalming fluide. Every ingredient can cause horrible, horrible side effects and health problems. They can even cause death. I don’t blame that mother for not wanting to give her child shots. I don’t believe that it should be forced upon her child to have dangerous things in her system. My son will not get shots and neither will my other two children. It is against my beliefs, personal and religious and I truly believe that shots harm any child that takes them and I believe that it should be a parents choice about whether their child should be vaccinated.

    Similar thing happened to me and my daughter in North Carolina. Dare County Dept of Social Services (DSS) Adult “Protective Services” was taking over control of my daughter, also forcing her to take Risperdal, when I intervened after serious adverse reactions. They then commenced to take her rights away with incompetency hearing. I protested, but her so-called court-appointed attorney only sided with DSS when I asked about my daughter’s rights. HER doctors’ diagnoses of likely brain damage were ignored, while DSS was given all power needed to force their label of “mental illness” and their version of treatment – Risperdal- on her.

    Seriously, this manufacturer must be getting desperate in order for these desperate illegal actions to be taking place, forcing a drug that many don’t want to take.

    Clerk, in violation of procedure allowed DCDSS to break into my home (WITHOUT A WARRANT) and force daughter to the so-called MDE — evaluation. Even the psychiatrist admitted it was handled improperly, but that didn’t stop DCDSS taking over her life, her rights, and her treatment. They traumatized and forced-drugged her for the next three months and are still controlling her life and not allowing her to come home.

    They took control of her disability benefits and won’t even let her see the dentist of her choice, after having suffered multiple jaw fractures and needing to be with someone with whom she feels comfortable.

    They have no compassion, no education about the lack of long-term efficacy of these drugs or their severe and even deadly adverse effects, including their affinity for Causing psychosis and making the patient chronically ill.

    Despite their ignorance and lack of true interest in what is best for people, they use any means possible to take control of their lives and destroy anyone who tries to stop or expose them.

    DCDSS even went so far as to support an absurd diagnosis,concocted without ever seeing me by Cherry Hospital whom I reported for abuse, using it against my attempt to remove guardianship power from them.

    DCDSS will stop at nothing.
