    I think the wires were holding the top in the air. I’ve seen the bottoms of poles taken out in accidents by cars and the top portion is held up by the wires.

    It’s pretty clear that the lines cross the road, that pole got snapped so the lines are suspending them as Professor said. It’s not magical.

    Although the symbolism of a floating cross is interesting.

    No it is NOT suspended by wires. It is over the road AWAY from its wires and is moving toward the car. This is why meteorologists are all ill-informed that tornado-genesis is not just thermodynamic. It has a electromagnetic component which will actually levitate objects such as cars, people, and telephone poles. Its call tribroelectric charging. The passing vortex is highly positively charged and the object carries the same charge as earth – negative. This is what makes objects get picked up gingerly and put down softly without harm.
