U.S. May Have To Release Bin Laden Death Photo

May 2, 2011 11 Comments ›› Pat Dollard

Perth Now:

THE United States may have to release photographs of Osama Bin Laden’s corpse to smother any claims he survived the special forces raid on his compound in Pakistan.

US Homeland Security chairman Joseph Lieberman said that unless al-Qaeda chiefs acknowlegde that their leader is dead, some may deny that DNA testing proved the US had killed the right man.

“It may be necessary to release the pictures – as gruesome as they undoubtedly will be, because he’s been shot in the head – to quell any doubts that this somehow is a ruse that the American government has carried out,” Senator Lieberman said.

Senator Susan Collins, one of the Republican party’s senior security experts, agreed that many hardline Islamists “will try to generate this myth that he’s alive, and that we missed him somehow, and in order to put that to rest it may be necessary to release some of the pictures”.

The warnings came as a photograph broadcast on Pakistani TV purporting to show Bin Laden’s corpse was exposed as a fake.

The photo, which depicted a bloodied head with a strong resemblance to the al-Qaeda leader, was widely used on TV networks and newspaper websites after news of his death broke.

Online users of websites such as Twitter soon exposed the image as a hoax which had reportedly been in circulation as early as 2009.

The photograph appears to have been digitally manipulated to combine the lower half of bin Laden’s face, from a genuine 1998 photo, with a photograph of the head of an unidentified corpse.

Okay, but what about the poor goats tied-up in the bedroom next to the table that had the tubes K-Y jelly on it.

Obama surely doesn’t want PETA on his ass. (pun intended)

      LoL!

Release the pics! Truth will set us free. What ever happened to Obama’s promise of transparency anyways?

Inquiring minds want to know Mr. President!

This EXCELLENT comment by Stephanie Bennett should be on every single FOX board:

I love the people who have to come to FOX news and start putting Obama on a pedestal. Congratulations… you finally have something to be proud of during his term. I am sure he will try to run on this. The fact is… This is a proud day for AMERICANS. However, Obama supporters are turning it into a proud day for Obama. Do you really think we’d be celebrating this day if Bush didn’t start the hunt for Bin Laden to begin with? We no doubt would have gotten Osama yesterday no matter who was in office. B/C whoever took over after Bush was not going to stop looking for him. THE CIA HAS LOOKED FOR HIM FOR 9 YEARS!!! We got the information about the courier from a prisoner in GITMO (you know…the place Obama wanted to shut down!) Good thing we got that information and didn’t shut it down before we did).

OBAMA SUPPORTERS ARE ACTING LIKE OBAMA GOT THE INFORMATION HIMSELF,
FOLLOWED THE COURIER AND WENT OVER AND CAPTURED BIN LADEN ALONE.

THANK YOU TO OUR TROOPS WHO PUT THIER LIVES IN DANGER FOR US EVERY
DAY TO BE A FREE COUNTRY AND FIGHT THE WAR AGAINST TERRORISM! USA!

I believe Stephanie Bennett let slip something I have been thinking about since I heard the news. Mr. Bennett used the word ‘CAPTURED’ instead of the word ‘KILLED’. In my opinion nobody would know about this mission or it’s true or fabricated results if one the helicopters used did not crash. I have been asking myself why would special forces kill OBL when they completely took over the compound he was hiding in. I think OBL is may still alive, surround by large men in permanent bad moods (exactly where he should be). If I am correct, when OBL does meet his end it will be in a cold, dark, hidden and silent place just after we extracted every ounce of information (and pain) from him. All I have to say is break him with mallace, take good notes and savor the moment of his death.

I agree with you CPLViper….which is why the US Government ” BURIED HIM AT SEA ” ….. let’s face it, in todays day and age anyone that knows something about photoshop can make anyone look dead and with this administration the way it is….I have no doubt you may be right.

Obama’s worst nightmare is…Osama sends out a video identifying the 2011 NBA championship winner.

Of course he must release the photos.

Osama hadn’t released “proof of life” in years, and now they expect us to take their word as “proof od death?”

The more I contemplate the situation, the more I doubt it…until I see the pictures

Pictures? I don’t believe pictures anymore, some people are very, very good with Photoshop.

Burial at sea? How many fathoms was the depth under the keel? Probably deep enough that nobody would be able to retrieve the ol’ pine box.

I do not subscribe to conspiracy theories but shooting OBL instead of quietly capturing and grilling him just doesn’t make a whole hell of a lot of sense.

The released the photos of Uday & Qusay Hussein why not OBL?

  • derised1

If they can’t release the pics, then they must be hiding something. Either that Obama is afraid that of anger from his buddies, Rev. Wright and Louis Farrakhan.

The White House keeps changing its story of how the raid went down. Strange. :???:
