Democrat Zombie Protesters Disrupt Special Olympics Ceremony in Wisconsin – With Video

Freedom Eden:

Although the Leftist, anti-Scott Walker protesters in Madison love to chant, “SHAME, SHAME, SHAME,” it’s clear that they are shameless.

These protesters thought it would be appropriate to target Governor Scott Walker as he gave a speech at a Special Olympics event at the Capitol in Madison.

Really? Disrupt a Special Olympics event to satisfy their own agenda?

The protesters stepped in front of the athletes as Gov. Walker began to address them!

That is disgusting.

Why make the kids involved with Special Olympics suffer? Why disrupt their event?

SHAME, SHAME, SHAME.

This is the most disgusting liberal show of misguided “right to protest” I have ever witnessed. I have been a resident of Madison for 65 years and have never been so embarrassed to admit it. It just shows the world how low the liberals here will go to disrupt “any” event. Hug yourself you wasted pieces *&$66#435%$#&^ !!!!!!!!

What a bunch of dirt bags. In the beginning it was all about the kids. Another lie. Its all about them and their rights. RRRRIGHT

  • amy

They suck. I’m surprised there weren’t anti- Palin signs too. because Trig is not off limits to them.

  • Phil

No… Unlike other celebrities with children with Down syndrome such as, say, Albert Pujols or John C. McGinley, Sarah Palin has never taken an active part in the Special Olympics–which is a shame, since for us in the special-needs community, she’d be a great spokesperson for the cause. Instead, she carts Trig around like a prop to further her own political career (remember the “I don’t want my kid with Down syndrome having to justify himself to Obama’s ‘death panels’” thing?), which is almost as disgusting as what these protesters are doing. Almost.

Desired 1, I think this one’s for you.

Sarah Palin’s son is very young. She will have plenty of opportunity later to participate in Special Olympics if she wishes. She did not cart her son around like a prop. She occasionally had him with her in public as she did her other family members.

      Thanks, Amy!

Sarah Palin has been a spokesperson for the Special Olympics. If I recall, she has attended Special Olympics events also.

Sarah does many fundraisers for special needs organizations (raising tons of dough for them) and she has been one of the most strongest advocates for the special needs community.

Please get your facts straight before commenting. Thanks!

As for this “protest”, it was truly revolting and despicable. Piss be upon these losers for trying these special needs kids event.

Oh – as for carting Trig around like a “prop” – Sarah is a mom who loves her kids. She takes with her everywhere. She had her kids in her mayor’s office and governor’s office before she ever set foot on the national stage.

She loves her son, Trig, very much and is not ashamed to bring with her too like her other children. If she didn’t have Trig with her at times, people like you would criticize her for hiding him in the closet like the Kennedys did with their special needs daughter.

Some moms just love their kids and enjoy having them around even when they are working. Get over it.

There’s plenty for you to criticize when it comes to Obama and Rinos.

    The compassionate ones, my ass.

Make-believe Zombies protesting the governor is actually LESS offensive than protesters lined up along busy thoroughfares with huge posters of aborted babies. After all, if I want to keep my kids from seeing a political protest then I can keep them away from the state capital and the most prominent political figure in the state, but if I want to keep them from seeing revolting pictures of the holocaust of abortion, then I’m just out of luck, because you never know where those will show up.

As a parent of a child with Down Syndrome, I can’t begin to tell you how pissed off I would have been seeing this. There is a time and a place for a debate and this was NOT that time or place. Disgusting display of how ignorant and insensitive they really are to choose this as their venue.

I am with you Chopper. If my Tri 21 kid found herself in the middle of a protest on an issue she had no part of, I would come unglued. Our kids have so many issues to deal with from birth. Serious health issues (my little girl has had 7 surgeries in 9 months) as well as social stigmas that we fight against every day (the R word), that getting to this point only to have these zombies ruin their moment really bites. These short sighted egocentric kids just commited an epic fail. Way to detract attention from you issue and onto your own gaffe zombies.

I’ve read SO many hateful & nasty blogs and comments where it’s perceived and ‘assumed’ that these protesters are all ‘liberal, democrats, leftists’. HOWEVER, what makes you just ‘assume’ this? As I understand it, the zombie protesters were students that were not even associated with the union members, AND many of those union members are not ALL democrats (as many on the right seem to assume). Many are republican or independent that don’t want their rights trampled on by gov. Walker (a common theme I keep hearing from the right when referring to Obama or the government!). I’ve seen just as many nasty signs and behavior from the teapartiers, YET I don’t automatically assume they are ALL right wing conservatives (and not all are!). I did some research and found the following about the event that hardly any conservative-based web pages reported (interesting). REMEMBER: Do your research first instead of jumping to conclusions. Everything is NOT always how it appears, and there are many manipulators that want to manipulate through hatred and fear! Don’t give them that leverage over you…do your research. look at all sides and stories and reporting before coming to a conclusion, instead of basing an opinion on one story and a knee-jerk reaction to it. This goes for all sides (both the right and left), since EVERYONE is guilty of snap judgements. Neither side is right or wrong, they just both think their right and the other is wrong. DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST AND SEEK OUT THE TRUE FACTS OF ANY STORY. Here’s some facts about the Special Olympics Story (facts that many sites left out conveniently):
All the ‘zombie’ protesters were: “The United Council of UW Students, all of whom have university-issued photo ID, were protesting Voter ID laws.”

“Rachel Grant, a spokeswoman for the Special Olympics, said officials were nervous when the zombie protesters first arrived but they turned out to be peaceful.
“We were all a little bit on edge, but it turned out for the best,” Grant said. “Nothing was disruptive at all.”
Kelly Kloepping, another Special Olympics official, said the protesters were respectful and did not diminish the excitement the Special Olympians felt about being in Madison to meet Walker and other leaders.
“We feel it’s really about the athletes,” Kloepping said. “We knew the protesters were there, but they were respectful of our athletes.”

Janet Ramsey, a medical laboratory technician and a member of the Wisconsin State Employees Union, said protests such as the Special Olympics event do not help the cause that state union members are trying to further.
“It’s taking away from what the Special Olympics do and putting a bad mark on what we’re trying to do,” Ramsey said.
Ramsey differentiated between union members who are protesting Walker’s budget and the protesters involved with the zombie demonstration.
“I think that’s someone looking to get their 15 minutes of fame. That’s not what we’re trying to do,” Ramsey said.

I love reading the rantings of Left Wing Liberal Marxist. Most are traitors yet don’t have IQ’s high enough to recognize it.

Most Union people are such wimp willies they have to have “mommy government” take care of them. Now they whine and cry when their all day suckers are taken away from them. They should have got off their behinds and earned it on their own in the first place.

People who claim they see nasty signs or violence at a tea party is a gullible marxist who fail to recognize those are marxist infiltrators to the tea parties. So stop with the whiney “you to whaaaa you too whaaaa”.
