Wall St. Prostitution Ring Busted

Seattle PI:

There is no such thing as a high-class pimp.

Those were the words of Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes on Wednesday, announcing charges against what he said was a high-end prostitution ring that charged clients more than $10,000 a night.

Five corporations and 17 people were indicted on prostitution and drug charges in the bust. Prosecutors said the defendants ran a 24-hour business called High Class NY out of an office in Sheepshead Bay and advertised escort services on several websites.

Prosecutors say women employed by High Class also provided cocaine and other controlled substances to clients.

The website of High Class NY says it is “one of the top companionship services for those who expect the best out of life.” It also carries a disclaimer, in red, that it is only a referral service and does not consent to or have knowledge of any illegal activity.

Hynes said High Class NY was owned by Mikhail Yampolsky, his wife, Bronislava, and his son and stepson. They were charged along with 11 employees and two investors.

A defense lawyer did not immediately return calls for comment.

Two escorts were charged in a separate indictment with prostitution and selling drugs.

The business brought in more than $2 million a year and used billing techniques to conceal the nature of clients’ purchases on their credit card statements, Hynes said.
