“Work alone”, as Cummings says below, means dictate laws via executive order and illegal powers granted to federal agencies, ala the amnesty fiat.

Politico:

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) said Sunday that the African-American community is feeling “totally frustrated” by the country’s sour economic situation.

“We are totally frustrated, and they need to know that the president feels their pain,” Cummings said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

Earlier, Cummings, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, said that “almost every African-American person I spoke to said [President Barack Obama] needs to fight, and fight harder.”

“Their attitude is … if Republicans aren’t going to work with us, we’re just going to have to work alone,” Cummings told host Candy Crowley.

Calling himself a “big supporter” of Obama, Cummings said then-Sen. Obama had promised to tell Americans what they need to hear, and not what they want to hear.

“We need to do the same thing with this president,” he said. “He needs to hear that there are a lot of people suffering.”

    It’s incredible to me that lots of sensible black folks vote these communists into office election after election without even thinking (apparently) that they are voting for die-hard Socialists who, if they could get away with it, would probably impose a Soviet-style government on the United States without any hesitation. I think they should start to think about what they are doing to this country when they vote that way, but I’m not holding my breath to see if it happens. The plantation mentality is hard to defeat.

      It’s not only blacks who vote these corrupt, greedy, incompetents into office, whites are just as bad and in many cases both keep re-electing these crooks.  The P’resident we have holding office today is a perfect example.  Once the entitlement programs run out of money watch the riiots, murders and cities on fire start.  I fear for our country, it’s going to get ugly….real ugly.
