Poll: 41% Of Republicans Say “No Chance” They Would Vote For Palin

Politico:

A nugget from today’s Pew poll that deserves a post of its own: Forty-one percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning voters say there is “no chance” they would vote for Sarah Palin in a presidential race.

That’s the second-highest rejection rate of any Republican candidate, exceeded only by Newt Gingrich, who was ruled out by 48 percent of respondents.

Palin’s poll numbers are comparable to, or even slightly worse than, Ron Paul’s. Despite being viewed by many as a fringe or fringe-friendly figure, Paul has 21 percent of Republicans who say there’s a “good chance” they’d vote for him, and 37 percent who say there’s “some chance.”

For Palin, those numbers are 24 percent (“good chance”) and 34 percent (“some chance.”) A higher proportion of Republicans have crossed her off the list of options, by a 4-point margin.

These are not the only reality-check numbers for Palin this week. A Gallup survey released yesterday showed that in a race that includes all the current candidates, plus Palin and Rudy Giuliani, the former Alaska governor would draw 11 percent of the vote — tying Paul for third place.

What’s more, a Public Policy Polling survey in Iowa showed that Palin would start out in fifth place there with 10 percent of the vote, trailing Paul by 2 points and local frontrunner Rick Perry by an 11-point margin.

There’s no question that Palin would shake up the GOP race if she got in, or that she’ll continue to command media attention for as long as she drags out the will-she-or-won’t-she act. But the level of interest in her candidacy among actual voters is not what it used to be.

Oh please, the Politico is full of shit, the link below is the poll results they’re using, look at Obama’s numbers, no way they represent reality.

Their entire article does nothing but feed the delusions of Leftist dupes that make-up the majority of their readers.

Those jackoffs booted me from commenting in there almost three years ago.
At the time, I was seeing them as a semi-conservative site, with good political exchange with people posting.
One morning I pop in there, and the loads had me nixed.   lol

I couldn’t vote for her either.
She’s a good woman, but she’s already taken too much time to declare she’s running, and-still is mired with McCain’s excrement.

A candidate without their own party’s interest will negatively affect voter turnout. I like anyone who infuriates liberals as much as Sarah does, and I like what she stands for.  I like her better trolling liberals from the sideline than I do the idea of entering the race and distracting from the current pool of candidates who have been spending money and doing work to get where they are.

I’ll vote for whomever counters Obama in 2012 because his policies are disastrous, and if that turned out to be Sarah I’m fine with that… but voting for a candidate because they’re “not Obama” does not give them credibility, influence, or staying power.  There are plenty more people that would go out-of-the-way to campaign and vote for Obama because he’s not Sarah.  We can’t afford that kind of a race in 2012.

    Don’t trust a Politico “poll.”

IMO, I don’t think she should run either – while she absolutely infuriates liberals (a huge plus) she will drive away a large number of voters simply because the media has tarred her so aggressively. She’s much more valuable as a fundraiser and supporter of whomever gets the nomination. She pulls huge numbers wherever she goes. Put her in a cabinet position with a solid convservative president and in a few more years she’ll have a much better shot at the big chair.

    Now ask conservatives……………..

Very few conservatives call themselves republicans anymore.

To heck with Poltico and their smarmy polls. I hear Sarah Palin responding to this poll by saying “BRING IT!”
